A NEW LEASH ON SOCIETY CLINICS
Ages 10+ / Dates and Locations Below / $65 per Clinic / Minimum of 2 Dogs - Max of 4 Dogs
Practicing public behavior around Fluvanna County Per students' requests, the Dog Spot is taking it to the streets! In these one-hour clinics students will meet at locations around Fluvanna to practice with their pups in real life settings. We'll be taking their skills to an even more practical level as they have fun outings. Dog etiquette and safety will also be discussed. As with the Dog Spot Clinics, Ashleigh does her best to personalize the New Leash on Society Clinic to meet each dog's individual needs and goals, making each Clinic unique to the students participating. Prerequisite-completing a class or private training with Ashleigh.

This one hour lecture will address many things that need to be considered when adding a new furry member to your family. "Should I get a puppy or adult dog, from a breeder or rescue, what breed is the best fit for my lifestyle?" Things can get a bit confusing in this process! Ashleigh will present information that will help you to not only make the best decisions but also include insight into how to prepare your home and life for your new furry addition.

Prerequisite-completing a class or working with Ashleigh privately, basic skills are required to get the most out of the Clinics. The Clinics are a perfect way to practice your dog's skills in a practical setting and take them to the next level. No two Clinics are the same. The Clinics are designed as semi-private sessions. Once Ashleigh receives the registration list, she will reach out to inquire what your main goal is in taking the Clinic. She then takes the goals of all students and comes up with a personalized Clinic to benefit each pup/person team. We work on things like greetings, having your dog respond in the presence of distractions, commands at a distance and other fun things to build on your dog's skills and manners. No need to commit to a weekly schedule, this one-hour clinic will give you the tools to continue the practice on your own.

CONFIDENCE CLASS
Ages 10+ / $135 / Class Minimum 4 Dogs - Class Maximum 6 Dogs / Dog Spot @ Fluvanna Community Center
Confidence Class helps dogs to build their confidence through the use of beginning low-impact agility equipment and advanced dog training skills. Learning new skills and trying new things helps dogs overcome fears and gain confidence. It's a fun way to practice basic commands and take them to the next level. This is a good follow-up class to Beginning Obedience for any dog.
Prerequisite: Beginning Obedience Class or private training with Ashleigh.

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN CLASS

Dog Spot @ Fluvanna Community Center
Canine Good Citizen Class helps dogs to expand their skills and prepare them to take the AKC CGC Test. The class covers the ten skills required in the test to include: sit to greet, grooming, passing other dogs, come, stay, down, and more. The last class will be the test and the student can decide if they want to take a practice test or pay for the certification test.
