Calling all PYRA event planners!

Our PYRA Board has always done a wonderful job planning our year-end Awards Banquet, right down to the final detail. This year, we’d love to spread the load a little and call on our PYRA family to help!

We are looking for 3–5 volunteers to serve as our Awards Banquet Planning Committee and take the lead on coordinating this year’s celebration.

The committee will help with things like:
• Catering & mobile bar arrangements
• Decorations
• Communications & outreach
• Event coordination
• Organizing setup & takedown (with plenty of additional volunteer help when the time comes!)

And good news: prizes and awards are already covered by a separate committee! 🎉

We’re working toward a late-October celebration featuring a BBQ lunch, awards, and a potential fundraising roping involving small ungulates...and parents. Final event details are still being nailed down, so right now we’re simply looking for a few willing event planners who would enjoy helping us put together a fun day for our PYRA kids and families.

You don’t have to be a board member, just have to be willing to help make it happen!

Our 2026 season is coming near end! Entries are officially open for our “Final Final Rodeo” Sunday, September 20th and it’s extra bittersweet!!

What an incredible season it’s been, with SO much growth in these outstanding contestants!

We have I truly believe, the very best moms, dads, committee members & volunteers around!!
I am pretty excited about all the things headed your way for prizes, banquet, auction, and a potential fun roping! Stay tuned for a TON of exciting news coming at ya!! 🥳🥳🥳

It’s cooled off a bit overnight in Paisley, wear a light jacket or something over them summer prints!

But- it’s a beautiful morning to rodeo!!

Another day another update!! Yesterday was a bit of a wild one, sorry I missed a day!! But: It’s almost RODEO TIME!!!😎🙌🏻🥳

🦩The air quality around here ebbs and flows between pretty clear, and pretty thick. No AQI alerts just visually it’s a bit ugly sometimes. If you’re sensitive to smoke please ensure you have medicine if needed, and a rig to jump in for some ventilated breaks!

🐳It’s supposed to cool off a bit (less than 101 like today) for this Sundays rodeo which will be a relief! Bring plenty of weather change options! Sunshades, sunscreen & all the electrolytes!

🐠Miss Ashley & her amazing crew at P’s Que will be there this weekend to take care of all your eats!! 🤩

*We’ve had a few inquiries about air quality & kids/horses. We’ve been monitoring the AQI and it has been a little Smokey around Paisley, but nothing too extreme in the past couple days. We will continue to monitor and keep everyone posted! Healthy contestants & animals is always our number 1 priority! 🙌🏻😊

It’s RODEO WEEK!!! So that means an update everyday!! This coming Sunday Funday is our Sweet Summa Time Rodeo!!!! 🍉🐠🪼🦜🦀🪸🐳🌺🦩

That means - Button down cowboy -SHORT SLEEVES!!! Wear your best summa prints this Sunday adults & kids to get entered in our drawing for our sweet summa time baskets!! Yes. You read that right- bring those throw back, pear snap cowboy short sleeve for this Sunday only!! Or Hawaiian prints, flamingos 🦩 all the fun summa prints! We can’t wait to see them!
