Me: Hey God.

God: Hey John.

Me: I can't do this anymore.

God: Do what?

Me: This. Talk with You. It's like I'm talking to myself. I must be losing my mind. It's like I'm just shouting at the walls. You have left me all alone and it's heartbreaking. You never hear me.

God:: Yes, I do. I'm at the front door of your heart right now. You can hear me, right?

Me: Yes - but Your voice is barely a whisper.

God: It's a thick door.

Me: Why can't I see you?

God: Because you never open the door. You never let me in. You think we can have a relationship through this closed door? I'm right here with My hands on your locked heart. Just open it and let me in. You have been slipping notes to Me under the door for years. That isn't going to cut it anymore. It's time for you to open your heart. Open it up and let me in. Open the door and fall into my arms. Open the door and you will see Me. Open your heart and let Me show you something beautiful.

Me: The door seems stuck.

God: Well, the first thing you need to do is to get rid of the door. Your heart isn't a hallway or a closet. Your heart is an ocean. Your heart is an endless field of wildflowers. Your heart is a the horizon. Your heart isn't a castle. You don't need a gate or a door to protect it. Tear down the door to your heart and let it become the garden that it was meant to be.

Me: If I do that I will get hurt.

God: Probably.

Me: I don't want to suffer.

God: Can't you see that you already are suffering? You've just gotten used to how it feels to have locked yourself away from the world - from Me. You have create a maze of a thousand locked doors in your heart. You have made it impossible for anybody to be able to come in. The prison you have made for yourself doesn't allow for visitors or for you to ever leave.

Me: I'm so alone.

God: I know. There is no pain like that of a closed heart. You are locked inside. Tear down all of those doors. Allow your heart to become a flowing river.

Me: I'll try.

God: That's not good enough. You are well passed trying. It's time to break down your doors. Do you really want to see Me? Do you really want to hear Me?

Me: Of course.

God: Open your heart. Let Me in. Let Me show you something beautiful. Let Me read My love letter to you. Let My Light in. Tear down the doors. Open your heart.

Me: I don't know how...

God: Just ask.

Me: Open my heart.

God: Again.

Me: Open my heart...

God: Again.

Me: No more doors...open my heart.

God: Here we go!

Me: Whoa. What is it that I'm feeling? It's a really strange sensation that I've never felt before.

God: It's called mercy.

Me: It's amazing.

God: Just wait until you meet inner peace! You're gonna love it!

Me: Open my heart...

We will be collecting new / lightly used clothing and shoes at the next two Sunday services, June 7 and June 14, for our group donation. Thank you for participating!

We’re looking for gently used clothing for individuals and families in East Hawaiʻi 👖👚👗👔

Items for all ages are welcome, especially everyday essentials like t-shirts, shorts, and light layers.
