After a disaster, dishonest contractors may take advantage of homeowners when they're at their most vulnerable.
🏠 Before you hire someone to repair your home, remember:
🔴 DON'T sign anything before receiving a written estimate and understanding exactly what you're agreeing to.
🔴 DON'T sign a contract with blank spaces.
🔴 DON'T trust a contractor who offers to waive your insurance deductible.
🔴 DON'T pay large amounts upfront without thoroughly checking the contractor's credentials.
✅ DO get written estimates, check references, verify licenses and insurance, and use traceable payment methods.

DEBRIS AND TRASH BURNING ARE NOT ALLOWED within City Limits, without a permit.

The City will pick up storm debris starting next week.
Important Rules:
Do NOT bag debris - ex: keep trees, limbs, leaves, anf plants together.
Do NOT mix debris - ex don't mix tree limbs with roofing, cement, drywall, fencing, household furniture, pool screening, ect.

Avoid blocking or placing debris on mailboxes, storm drains, backflow assemblies, water meters, near downed power lines, or other critical areas, and leave 3 feet of space to ensure safe collection.
