🚨❤️ OWATONNA, WE’RE CALLING A CodeRED! ❤️🚨

At Owatonna Business Women, we believe that when our community shows up for one another, incredible things happen!

That’s why we’re rallying our community to make an impact, one local business at a time. ❤️

We are partnering with Community Pathways in their CodeRed initiative with a period packs for purpose evening on Tuesday October 20th 5-7p at Owatonna High School Commons!!

A purchase, a share, a recommendation, or simply spreading the word can make a BIG difference.

This is what community looks like. This is what supporting local looks like. And THIS is what Owatonna does best! 🙌

📣 Consider this your call to action! Watch the video, spread the word, and help us make this CodeRED count!

Because strong businesses build strong communities, and together, we can make a difference.

On Tuesday, Owatonna Business Women had the privilege of hearing from Krista Ryan, survivor of the Las Vegas shooting, as she shared her powerful story of resilience, perseverance, and purpose.

Krista introduced us to the KFG mindset — Keep F*ing Going — a simple but impactful reminder that even in life’s most difficult moments, we have the strength to take the next step forward.

Thank you, Krista, for sharing your story and inspiring us all to keep going, no matter what life puts in our path.

Grand Champions! 🏆🎉

Our teamwork paid off as we took home the Grand Champion and First Place for the Secret Ingredient for the judges at this year’s competition!

From serving up delicious tres leches cake with smoked peaches and caramel peanut sauce and peanut butter espresso martinis to presenting our award-winning chicken and ribs to the judges, our members brought their best—and had a lot of fun along the way.

More than the competition, this event is about community. We’re honored to be part of this annual tradition that celebrates the memory of Juan while raising funds for two incredible organizations: the Steele County Humane Society and The Lighthouse of Southern Minnesota.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, voted for us, and helped make this event such a success. We are proud to represent the amazing women, businesses, and community spirit that make Owatonna so special.

Smiles at the Steele County Free Fair! 🎡💙

Our members spent the week making memories with family, friends, coworkers, and our community. From volunteering and supporting local organizations and businesses to enjoying favorite fair foods and capturing special moments, the fair was full of connection and celebration.

A special shoutout to our Owatonna Business Women members who volunteered at the Aurora Diner. Thank you for giving your time and helping make the fair experience memorable for so many!

We love seeing our members showing up, giving back, and enjoying all that makes our community special.

There’s a lot of pressure as women to “do it all.” But for Alex Morgan, owner of The Blast, doing it all isn’t the goal.

At our monthly Owatonna Business Women meeting, Alex shared honest advice on what it really takes to be a successful businesswoman, and it starts with knowing your goals and your why.

She reminded us to:
-Set boundaries
-Be intentional with your time and energy
-Know what truly matters to you
-Ask for help when you need it
-Give yourself permission to NOT do it all

Thank you, Alex, for the reminder that sometimes the most successful thing we can do is recognize that we don’t have to do it all!

What a wonderful evening at Downtown Thursday! 💙

We had the opportunity to bring a little county fair to the event with our Blue Ribbon Initiative, inviting attendees to recognize the women, businesses, organizations, and community members who make a positive impact in Owatonna.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared a name, and helped us celebrate the individuals and organizations that make Owatonna such a great place to live, work, and belong!
