¡Ya reabrimos las solicitudes para nuestras clases de inglés en Lighthouse!

Las clases serán todos los martes, del 15 de septiembre al 3 de noviembre, de 6:00 a 8:00 p. m.

El costo es de $35 e incluye:

Libro de trabajo
8 semanas de clases
Una comida ligera cada semana

Queremos asegurarnos de colocar a cada estudiante en el nivel adecuado. Después de completar la solicitud, nos comunicaremos con usted para programar una breve evaluación de inglés.

We’ve reopened applications for English classes at Lighthouse!

Classes will meet every Tuesday, September 15–November 3, from 6:00–8:00 PM.

The cost is $35 and includes:

Workbook
8 weeks of classes
A light meal each week

We want to make sure each student is placed at the correct English level. After you complete the application, we will contact you to schedule a short placement assessment.

The Lighthouse Community Center 2026 Back-to-School Giveaway was a success, thanks to our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and families who joined us this year! The smiles, the laughter, the supplies needed, along with haircuts are preparing some of our students for the start to a great school year. Join us in helping our local students start the school year prepared and supported!

100+ backpacks with school supplies, free scheduled haircuts, and local resources will be given at the Lighthouse Community Center Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 pm.

Haircuts will be offered by appointment, with walk-ins accepted as time allows.

Please help us serve as many students as possible:
• Haircuts are for K–12 students only
• Schedule ONE appointment per child
• Appointment times are approximate — please allow some flexibility
• Appointments are limited and may fill up
• Walk-ins are not guaranteed and will depend on stylist availability

Los cortes se ofrecerán con cita. También aceptaremos estudiantes sin cita si el tiempo y la disponibilidad lo permiten.

Para ayudarnos a atender a la mayor cantidad de estudiantes posible:
• Los cortes son solamente para estudiantes de K–12
• Reserve UNA cita por niño
• Los horarios son aproximados — agradecemos su paciencia y flexibilidad
• Las citas son limitadas y pueden llenarse

Join Us in Supporting Local Students

Lighthouse Community Center is preparing for our second Back-to-School Giveaway on August 17, and we are inviting individuals, businesses, churches, and community organizations to partner with us.

There are several ways to help. You can become a sponsor, donate backpacks or school supplies, give grocery items or gift cards, volunteer before or during the event, or help connect us with others who may want to be involved.

Every donation matters. Whether someone gives $50, sponsors at a higher level, donates needed items, or offers their time, that support can make a real difference for a local student.

Our goal is to help students begin the school year feeling prepared and supported.

We are looking for licensed hairstylists and barbers who are willing to donate some of their time to provide free back-to-school haircuts for local children and teens.

We just finished our second English class, and it has been so much fun! We laugh, learn, and eat together. I’m so proud of our students for practicing conversations in English tonight, and so thankful for the wonderful volunteers who make these classes possible. 🫶

We hope to offer more English class sessions this fall. Stay tuned!
