These two. When we approached Atom Avery & Falecia Avery years ago about financially supporting the ORA & Oswego’s neighborhoods, they went all in without hesitation. Their annual contributions have been substantial. They have leveraged tens upon tens of thousands of dollars in support of Oswego’s neighborhoods. Every improved home or street has something from them making it happen.

Atom and Falecia just don’t talk the talk, they walk the walk. Incredibly hardworking, they have been investing in the Oswego community in ways too many to count. Creating multiple new buildings and businesses in Oswego - the LITATRO building, Rooftop Lounge restaurant, The Gardens by Morningstar, The Maples Assisted Living, 5 Points W**e & Liquor, Beacon Executive Suites, Avery Rental properties, and more. Creating jobs. Building a stronger downtown. Strengthening neighborhoods. Creating a better future for everyone.

We are amazed by their energy and work ethic, and commitment to this community. All the while living here, and raising their family right here.

The are truly an Oswego success story.

What happens when we choose to embrace the character of our old homes in Oswego NY? THIS is what happens! Julia Koeppe joined neighbors on the Renaissance Block Challenge - and brought out the details of her 19th century home! Millwork that had long been obscured by time. Look at the before/after! Thank you Minetto Painting for the work you did and two of the detail photos!

We love this handpainted mural just installed in Downtown Oswego on W 1st Street. City Clerk Mark Tesoriero and Deputy clerk Greg Caster spearheaded the grant effort, supported by city staff! It is the effort and achievement of our neighbors and community that create the place we are proud to live in.

The ORA is especially proud to recognize Pathfinder Bank, which has supported the Oswego Renaissance Association every year since 2013, making them our longest-running corporate supporter! For 13 years, Pathfinder has partnered with us, both financially and strategically, in countless ways to help strengthen Oswego's neighborhoods.

We are particularly grateful to Jim Dowd, President of Pathfinder Bank and a lifelong Oswegonian, who has been a strong advocate for the ORA's work from its earliest years. Jim has met with our board members many times over the years, offering encouragement, advice, and support as the organization has grown.

But Pathfinder's commitment to Oswego extends FAR beyond the ORA. Through its support of Oswego Health, Farnham Family Services, Oswego Harborfest, the Greater Oswego Fulton Chamber of Commerce, and more than 70 other community sponsorships this year alone, Pathfinder helps make an enormous difference in the community we all share.

A great day yesterday Oswego's 11th annual Oswego Porchfest. Over 70 acts! This neighborhood event has garnered sponsors and attendees from all over. Homegrown. Grassroots. Built and maintained by neighbors and the wonderful musicians that make it happen each year!

Our neighborhoods are at their BEST when we have people like Samantha Kempston in them!. Her simple acts of sweat equity -- painting steps, window sashes, creating a small garden, make the neighborhood more welcoming for all! She and 8 other neighbors doing great things as part of the W Mohawk St Block Challenge!
