We are in need of volunteers to walk in the Brooklyn Park Tater Daze Parade on Saturday, May 30th. Parade begins at 10:00am and ends at 11:30! The parade is pretty short, so it won't take up your entire day! You will receive ONE hour of DIBS PER Family .

Some people leave a role… others leave a legacy. 🏒

This past Sunday, we said THANK YOU to two incredible leaders who have given so much to OMGHA over the years.

Cathy Cheatham, our dedicated gambling manager for an amazing 12 years. From pull tabs at Malone’s, Maple Tavern, Duffy’s, and Hy-Vee, Cathy has been the driving force behind a program that has helped fund opportunities for so many of our players. Her behind-the-scenes work has made a lasting impact on our association in more ways than most will ever see.

Colin Steen, a true leader who has worn many hats within OMGHA, most recently serving as President. Colin played a key role in bringing the TruStone Rink to life, helping shape the future of hockey in our community. His vision, leadership, and commitment have left OMGHA better than he found it and we’re excited to see him continue making an impact as part of Hockey Day Minnesota 2028.

Cathy and Colin, thank you for the countless hours, the passion, and the dedication you’ve poured into OMGHA. Your impact will be felt for years to come.

Big things are happening at OMGHA… and we couldn’t be more excited!

We’re officially rebranding our House Program to better align with associations across the state. Coming this summer, you’ll see a brand new name:

Introducing the OMGHA Mites Program!

This change keeps things consistent and makes it even easier for families to understand where their players fit as they grow in the game.

The OMGHA Mites Program is designed for Pre-K through 3rd grade players, focusing on fun, development, and building a love for hockey from the very start.

Stay tuned for more details, updates, and everything you need to get your player ready for the upcoming season!
