Stop by this Saturday, June 6, from 3-7 PM for the Historic Ormond Art Walk, a celebration of local art, literature, and community throughout the Ormond Arts District.

At Novel Tea Book Shop, we are excited to feature photographer Kyra Lieberman and her exhibition Aftermath..., a powerful documentary photography project exploring loss, recovery, resilience, and the lasting impacts of the 2022 hurricane season in Volusia County.

We will also be welcoming local author Jayne Mills for a special meet-and-greet during Art Walk. Jayne is the author of "Bottom of the Breath", our recent General Fiction Book Club selection, making this a wonderful opportunity to meet the author behind a book many of our readers have been discussing.

From 4:00-5:30 PM only, guests are invited to enjoy a special wine tasting while browsing the gallery, meeting our featured guests, and exploring everything Art Walk has to offer.

Complimentary shuttle service between participating Art Walk venues will once again be provided by Ormond Main Street, making it easy to experience the incredible artists, galleries, shops, and creative spaces throughout the district.

We look forward to spending the afternoon with you as we celebrate art, storytelling, photography, and community.

June's Ormond Art Walk is just one week away! Stop by the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens on June 6 between 3 pm and 7 pm to meet Micayla Williams Williams and see her pop-up exhibit in the reception gallery. At 5:00 pm, the artist will give a gallery talk sharing how she moved from canvas to clay.

"What started as a leap of courage became an awakening, ignited by vibrant palettes, layered forms, and women reimagined in fearless, multicolored expression. My journey into ceramics expanded that vision, allowing clay and texture to move organically while celebrating nature, florals, and the wild strength of femininity. I create because I must—and through this work, I invite you to feel deeply, live boldly, and embrace the unapologetic power of your own uniqueness.”

Admission to Art Walk is always FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all stops. Beer and wine will be available for purchase inside the museum. More info at bit.ly/artwalk-ob

Follow us down the sidewalks and through the gardens of Ormond Beach, to explore the city and dance with plants.

Dance with Plants! They are all around us...how are we influenced by them, how do we move in, around, and through them? How does our movement change because of their smell? Their sounds? How does being close to them change your breath? Do you want to slow down? Speed up? Share your explorations!

Maybe public art doesn’t just beautify a town.
Maybe it reminds us to slow down long enough to notice it.

What is your favorite Seward Johnson's sculpture?
