The purpose of First Baptist Church Ore City is to fellowship with other believers, inspire nonbelievers' to follow Christ, reverence the name of Jesus, serve others through ministry, and train believers to become more like Christ. Worship- M

atthew 22:37, “37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind”

2. Ministry-Matthew 22:39, “39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
• Love your neighbor as yourself
3. Evangelism- Matthew 28:19, “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,”
• Go and make disciples
4. Fellowship-Matthew 28:19, ” … baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
• Baptizing them
5. Discipleship- Matthew 28:20, “20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:”

Sometimes we think of a vacation as packing the bags, hitting the road, and heading off on some exciting adventure. But sometimes a “stay-at-home vacation” can be an adventure all by itself! 😂

There’s something satisfying about catching up on much-needed maintenance, checking the vehicles, working on the farm equipment, fixing what has been neglected, and, of course, tackling those wonderful “honey-do” projects that somehow multiply while you’re not looking! 😂

But all that maintenance reminds me of an important spiritual truth. The things we value require attention and care. If we neglect our equipment long enough, it will eventually break down. And the same is true of our spiritual lives.

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

We can spend so much time maintaining our houses, vehicles, equipment, and farms that we forget the most important thing that needs regular maintenance—our heart.

So while you’re checking the oil, tightening the bolts, cleaning out the weeds, and knocking out those honey-do projects, take a little time to check your heart too.

A well-maintained life is a blessing—but a well-maintained heart is a necessity. ❤️

The strongest churches aren’t built on gifted people, they’re built on faithful people.
God isn’t looking for perfect people. He’s looking for people who will keep showing up, keep serving, keep praying, and keep trusting Him.

Gifts may impress people, but faithfulness impacts eternity.

Stay faithful. Stay available. Stay in the fight. God can use a faithful heart to do more than you ever imagined! 🙏❤️
