Happy Tail: Joey and Rachel have been adopted! We are so happy for this brother and sister pair and for this first time cat family. Joey & Rachel's mom,was a stray who found herself in this family's backyard. The family started feeding her and bought her a heated shelter for the winter. Having no familiarity with pets, they had no idea that Simber as they named her was a "she" and would have five beautiful babies in the shelter they had bought for her. As soon as they saw the one day old babies, they reached out to us for help. We immediately went and trapped mama and picked up all the babies and placed the new little family into a foster home. The family wanted to adopt two of the kittens when they were ready, and they were also eager to have Simber back home in their yard. Simber is a feral girl who we spayed, vaccinated, ear-tipped and microchipped and released her back to her yard after the babies were weaned. Now that the babies are nine weeks old and ready to find their forever homes, we delivered two to this family who is so excited to have Simber's babies join their family. We have given them oodles of advice and are here to provide any support they need as first time cat parents.
