It's scholarship season!

We are currently accepting applications for Kiwanis Indiana Foundation scholarship. Our nominee will compete with those from other Hoosier Division clubs for a chance at a $2500 scholarship. We have had several winners in the past, including last year's!

Applications can be obtained from the Counseling Department at BNL or by emailing [email protected]. The deadline to submit the application to our club is February 13th.

We mourn the loss of our long time member, Delvin Nikirk. Delvin was a pillar of the Oolitic community, helping anyone who needed it. He was a proud Kiwanian who did so much for our club and our town. We will miss him!

We know you are anxiously awaiting the return of the fish fry on Hoosier Avenue!

We were hoping for a summer or early fall reopening. However, the state fire marshal had other plans. We need to make some additional updates for the safety of our volunteers. We have secured the necessary funds and are waiting for plans to be approved and our contractor to complete the work.

We thank you for your patience and support. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

On Monday, September 8th, we will be having a fundraiser night at Wings and Rings. 5% of all sales will be donated to Oolitic Kiwanis.

We are so grateful for the Air-Master Heating, Air Conditioning And Electric crew and all the hard work they have put in at the fish stand these last few weeks!

We also must give a shout out to the Lawrence County Community Foundation - without their support of our fish fry project and the generous grant we received from them last summer, none of this would have been possible.

We look forward to serving up the best fish sandwiches around soon! 😋
