We have also put a trusted person in place to help manage and oversee the account so that everything is handled with transparency and care. We want everyone to know exactly what these funds are going toward.
As many of you know, Kelsie is now a stay-at-home mom trying to navigate life with six children after their entire world changed overnight. She currently has a vehicle with a remaining payoff of around $2,000, along with a monthly mortgage, utilities, and all the everyday expenses that come with raising a family. There are victim assistance resources available through the state of Texas, and we are working through those processes, but those things take time. Right now, we are simply trying to help this family make it through the immediate storm.
One of the biggest goals moving forward is helping Kelsie and the kids find a new home and a fresh start.
I cannot even begin to imagine what these children are trying to process right now — living in a small town, feeling scared, feeling judged, not knowing what the future holds, and carrying burdens children should never have to carry.
I know there are so many hurting families in this world. So many people going through impossible situations. But right now, this is one family we can help. One mom we can stand beside. Six children we can remind that they are not alone.
Every dollar matters.
Every prayer matters.
Every act of kindness matters.
And while you may never fully see the impact your generosity makes, I promise you this: love changes people. Support changes people. And one day, those children may grow up and use this season to change the world for someone else.
This picture may look simple, but it represents so much more than faces in a photo.
It represents the silent battles so many families fight behind closed doors. The fear. The heartbreak. The uncertainty. The strength it takes just to make it through another day.
For every woman and every child who has ever felt broken, scared, judged, or alone — this is for you too.
May we never forget that behind every smile is a story we may never fully understand, and sometimes the greatest thing we can offer someone is simply love, grace, and support. ❤️
