🔥 BOONE COUNTY BURN BAN LIFTED 🔥

Good news, Boone County, as of 10/02/26, the countywide burn ban has been LIFTED.

🪵 While outdoor burning is now permitted, please continue to use caution and burn responsibly. Check current weather and fire conditions before burning, keep a water source nearby, and never leave a fire unattended.

🚒 Remember: One small spark can quickly become a large fire.

Thank you to everyone who helped keep our community safe while the burn ban was in effect! 🙏🏼

🔥 Burn Ban Reminder 🔥
Cooler temperatures do not mean the burn ban has been lifted. Fire danger remains very high, and conditions can change quickly.

Please help protect our community by refraining from burning until the burn ban has officially been lifted.

Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe! 🙏

High wildfire danger continues across Arkansas. With dry conditions across the state, fires can ignite easily and spread quickly. The Department is responding to two large wildfires heading into the weekend, and burn bans are in place in 70 of 75 counties.

Current fire activity:

🔥 Bunker Fire, Calhoun County
2,849 acres | 75% contained
State and federal crews continue suppression efforts, with assistance from the Mississippi National Guard and Oklahoma National Guard. Aerial resources remain active, and a no-drone/fly zone is in place.

🔥 Brown Lane Incident, Logan County
150 acres | 20% contained
Crews are working with the U.S. Forest Service. Voluntary evacuations are underway, and multiple roads are closed.

Arkansans are urged to follow all local burn restrictions and take precautions to prevent wildfires.

Report wildfire smoke or fire immediately: 1-800-468-8834

‼️ This is important to remember ‼️
While we are very thankful for a little bit of rain, the outdoor conditions are still not conducive for burning. 🚫🔥

🔥🚒 A huge thank you to Krooked Kreek Fire Department for hosting the Intro & PPE Class this weekend!

There was a lot of great knowledge shared, skills learned, and situational experiences gained throughout the class. It was great to see so many new faces who are eager to learn, grow, and serve their communities. 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

We appreciate our 4 volunteers - Jessica, Mason, Daniel, & Justin (whom we had to work into the picture) who took the time to attend and put in the work to become better prepared firefighters. Training, teamwork, and a willingness to learn make our departments stronger! ⭐️
