🚒FIRE SAFETY TIP: CLOSE YOUR BEDROOM DOOR AT NIGHT! 🚪

Did you know that simply closing your bedroom door before going to sleep can give you valuable extra time during a house fire?

🔥 A closed bedroom door can help slow the spread of fire, smoke, and deadly heat, keeping your room safer for a longer period of time.

🌙 Before you go to bed tonight:
✅ Close your bedroom door.
✅ Make sure your smoke alarms are working.
✅ Have two ways out of every bedroom.
✅ Establish a family meeting place outside.

🚨 If your smoke alarm sounds, GET OUT and STAY OUT! Never go back inside. Call 911 from a safe location.

A simple closed door could make a life-saving difference.
Close Before You Doze!❤️‍🔥

🔥 USE CAUTION WHEN BURNING 🔥

Boone County, Arkansas is currently under a “Moderate” burning condition.

If you’re planning to burn, please use extra caution. Even when conditions are not considered high-risk, fires can spread quickly and become difficult to control.

🌬️ Check wind conditions before burning
🔥 Never leave a fire unattended
💧 Keep water and firefighting tools nearby
🏡 Keep fires a safe distance from homes, buildings, and other combustibles
🚒 Make sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area

A little extra caution can help prevent a small burn from becoming a big problem.

Stay safe, burn responsibly, and help protect our community! ❤️‍🔥

⚠️ Hot Weather Safety Tip: Water sitting in a garden hose can reach 120–150°F (49–66°C) or higher in direct sunlight—hot enough to cause burns, especially to children and animals.

Before using your hose, let the water run until it's cool and always test it with your hand first.

A few seconds can prevent a painful injury. Please share to help keep everyone safe! ☀️💧

💦 Who knew water could come in a can? 💦

A huge THANK YOU is in order for Anheuser-Busch - they donated us a whole pallet of canned water for our firefighters! There’s nothing much better than a cold drink of water after fighting a hot fire, and now we are stocked and ready to go!

It truly takes a village to help support volunteers, thank you Anheuser-Bush & National Volunteer Fire Council for being a part of it!
