🐷🌟 WIN A PIG CONTEST! 🌟🐷

Are you ready for an exciting hands-on livestock experience? The 2026–2027 Win a Pig Contest is here! This program gives youth the opportunity to learn about feeding, caring for, and raising a pig from start to finish while building responsibility and valuable life skills. 🐖💚

🎯 Who can participate?
Youth ages 7–18 (Senior in High School), including a new Peewee Division for youth who are 7 years old as of January 1, 2027!

📝 To enter: Submit a 300–500 word essay explaining why you would like to raise a pig.

📅 Essays are due November 3rd!

🚨 NEW ENTRY DEADLINE: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2026! 🚨

Planning to show at the Okfuskee County Spring Livestock Show? Be sure to get your entries turned in on time!

📌 Important Information:
✅ Entry fee: $5.00 per animal
✅ Completed entry forms, signatures, payments, and Bred & Owned forms must be turned in in person by December 4, 2026.
✅ Entry forms are available at the Okfuskee County OSU Extension Office or from your child’s Ag Teacher or 4-H Educator.
📚 Spring Show Books are available now at the Okfuskee County OSU Extension Office!

⏰ Need more time? Late entries may be accepted with board approval through Monday, December 28, 2026. Late entries will cost $105.00 per animal.

Virtual Fishing Tournament Registration is now open on Zsuite registration is $20 until November 15th

🎣 Registration open: Oklahoma 4-H Virtual Trout Derby

Grab your fishing gear and hit the water from anywhere in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma 4-H Virtual Trout Derby is open to active 4-H’ers in grades 3-12, with competition running Nov. 16 through Jan. 18. Cloverbuds can join the fun, too, at no cost for bragging rights!

Are you planning to show at the Oklahoma Youth Expo? Nomination kit numbers for goat, sheep, steer, and hog exhibitors must be turned in to the Okfuskee County Extension Office by October 28th!

💲 Nomination kits are $20 each.

Please make sure your kit numbers are turned in before the deadline! If you have any questions, contact the Okfuskee County OSU Extension Office.

🍀 Northeast District Youth in Action Leadership Conference! 🍀

Yesterday, three of our Okfuskee County 4-H teens returned home after attending the Northeast District Youth in Action Leadership Conference! 💚

We are so proud of these young leaders for taking the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, meet other 4-H members, make new friends, and create memories along the way! 🌟

We can’t wait to see how they put their new skills and experiences to work in their clubs, our county, and beyond!

Cadence Smith showed courage, confidence, and strong leadership by running for the position alongside five other talented 4-H youth. Although she was not selected, her willingness to step forward and share her ideas is a wonderful accomplishment. 🌟

We can’t wait to see all the ways these three continue to grow as leaders and make a difference in 4-H and beyond! 💚🤍
