BEWARE THE BOTS! We've seen quite a recent surge in commenting on our Facebook! Normally that'd be good news... but unfortunately, we've been the target of a pesky little artificial intelligence agent creating multiple fake accounts and attempting to have Dunklin's followers click a fake link by promoting a nonexistent t-shirt.
These bots are tricky, so I'd like to give you some cautions:
1.) We do not sell Dunklin merchandise through the comments section on our page, nor do we share links to outside organizations attempting to sell you anything.
2.) Any official communications from Dunklin Memorial Church will come from THIS page—the bots will usually hide behind a generic person's name and photo. They haven't yet tried to directly copy us.
3.) When in doubt, exercise caution when clicking any links. Always feel free to reach out to us with a message if you have concerns about suspicious activity. We are doing a regular check of all comments to ensure there are is no malicious activity.
We will post a photo in the comments of what this scam looks like so you can be better prepared to spot any future attempts.
