National EMS Memorial Service

The National EMS Memorial Service is the official service recognized by Congress to honor EMS providers from the United States who have died in the line of duty.

For those who will be attending the NEMSMS Moving Honors Ceremony at Fort Totten in Bayside, NY, the correct date is JUNE 30! It is NOT July 1.

The NEMSMS Moving Honors team is headed back to Texas for a much-needed break. They will be back on the road on June 18 following a ceremony in Lewisville, Texas. 

Thank you to all the first responders, hosting agencies and those who attended the ceremonies thus far and lined the roadways and overpasses for helping us to honor and recognize the 37 EMS and air medical fallen for 2026.

We will see you back on the road soon!

Thank you to the Burnsville, MN first responders for an awesome start to the day! The first responder community really showed up to the ceremony and to es**rt the NEMSMS Moving Honors procession en route to Burnsville and then after the ceremony when they headed to the next stop.

We really appreciate everyone's support for the honorees and the families and the loved one of the fallen who are left behind.

On Wednesday, June 10, the NEMSMS Moving Honors procession was in Kansas City, MO for a ceremony to honor and recognize the 37 EMS and air medical professionals who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service to others.

Thank you to the first responders and public who came out to support the families and loved ones of our honorees. We could not do this without all of you!

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE ROCKFORD CEREMONY!!!!!

The location of the Rockford location of the Moving Honors Ceremony has changed! It will be held at the North Park Fire Protection District located at 1011 Harlem Rd in Machesney Park. A procession will begin at the REACT Hanger and travel to the firehouse for the ceremony at 4:45 CDT.

Because there is severe weather forecast for the Rockford area this afternoon. If you are planning to attend the ceremony there, please check back with us to make sure that the ceremony will still be held. Safety of the Moving Honors team, the host organization's staff and those who are attending is of the upmost importance.

Following the ceremony the team will overnight in Rockford.

Once the team leaves Rockford they will drive to Springfield, MO on Friday, June 12 and then on to Mineral Wells, TX where they will take a break until Thursday, June 18.

On Thursday, June 18, the Moving Honors team will resume their trek to Arlington, VA following a ceremony at 9:00 AM CDT at the GMR Headquarters located at 4400 Hwy 121 Suite 700 in Lewisville, TX.

Thank you to everyone who has hosted or attended one of the Moving Honors ceremonies thus far.
If you are hosting or attend any of the stops along the way, please share you photos and video clips with us at [email protected] so that we can add them to the Moving Honors video that will be shown to the families at the Service during the Weekend of Honor on July 18.
