Girls lacrosse is one of the toughest and most exciting sports to watch. Speed, toughness, endurance, teamwork, skill, and heart — all happening at full speed with no fear. It takes a special athlete to step onto that field, and an even stronger one to stay with it through the hard practices, bumps, bruises, pressure, and adversity.

Not many can do it.
Not many stay with it.
But the ones who do rise above.

Proud every day to coach the young women of Fairfield Girls Lacrosse. These athletes continue to prove that toughness and grace can exist together. They battle, they compete, they support each other, and they grow stronger because of it.

This sport demands courage. And these girls show it every single day

No surprise here… congratulations to McKenzie Shanklin for being selected Athlete of the Week!

McKenzie is the definition of hard work, toughness, and determination. She has become one of the true anchors of our brick wall defense and brings energy, grit, and intensity every single game.

As a coach, it’s impossible not to be proud of the growth, effort, and leadership McKenzie brings to this program. She earns everything through hard work and consistency. Congratulations McKenzie — well deserved and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭.

Tonight was our traditional end-of-season 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 and last practice together. Players brought friends out to join the fun as we played short-sided 5v5 lacrosse, blind dodgeball, water balloon battles, and even some backyard-style rugby.

So proud and thankful to have coached this group of girls. Through all the hard practices, tough games, laughs, growth, and memories… seeing these smiles says it all.

What a great way to celebrate our season together.

As her coach, I couldn’t be more proud. Allison is known on the field for her toughness, creativity, and competitive spirit and it’s awesome to see those same qualities recognized through her artistic talent. She continues to prove that hard work and passion can lead to success in so many different ways.

Let’s hope this passes! This would be an enormous help to our youth and high school programs.

If passed, Issue 2B - Bylaw 4-3-1 would allow a public school athlete to play at a neighboring public school if home school does not offer sport.
