One out and one in I guess.....
meet Jasper he's a Boston terrier possibly frenchie mix. And he's probably the calmest one I've ever met. He's around a year and a half old.
He's a transfer from MCAS and will be available after his neuter on October 15th!

🐾 WE NEED OUR VILLAGE 🐾
Right now, Kahu K-9 Rescue has 12 dogs in our care, and while we are incredibly grateful to be able to give them a safe place to land, we also need to be honest about where we're at.
Our rescue account is currently empty, and we have several needs coming up.
🦷 Fancy needs a dental for a broken canine tooth.
🩺 Our dogs need routine and unexpected veterinary care.
🐾 Food, preventatives, medications, cleaning supplies, bedding and other everyday necessities don't stop.
⛽ And we continue helping animals in our local homeless camps whenever we're able.
But there's something else we desperately need:
HOMES. ❤️
Every dog adopted means we have the ability to say yes to another animal who needs us.
We currently have long-term residents who have been waiting for their families for far too long. Some have been with us for close to a year. They deserve to experience what it feels like to finally have a home of their own.
So today, we're asking our village for three things:
🐕 ADOPT — If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family, take a look at our available dogs. Your adoption could literally make room for us to save another life.
💙 DONATE — Whether it's $5, $20, a bag of food, or helping with a veterinary expense, every bit makes a difference. Our rescue account is empty, and our dogs still need us.

📲 SHARE — This one costs absolutely nothing. Share our dogs. Share our posts. Tag someone who might be looking for their next best friend. You never know which share puts the right dog in front of the right person.
We didn't start Kahu K-9 Rescue because we thought it would be easy. We started because animals in our community needed someone willing to stand up for them.
And we're still here.
But we can't do it alone.
Help us get these dogs home so we can open our doors to the next animal who needs a chance. ❤️
Donate. Adopt. Share. Advocate.
Every one of those things helps us continue the mission.

💙 $5 FRIDAY 💙
It’s $5 Friday at Kahu K-9 Rescue! 🐾
Rescue is about more than the animals who come through our doors and find homes quickly. We have several long-term residents who have been in our care for close to a year now, and while they wait for the right families, we continue providing them with food, medical care, training, enrichment, and everything they need to thrive.
Our mission doesn’t stop when an adoption takes longer than expected. These dogs are still ours, and we remain committed to them for as long as they need us. 💙
A simple $5 can help us keep up with the everyday costs of caring for our rescue animals. When our community comes together, those small donations truly add up.
If you’re able to be part of this week’s $5 Friday, we’d be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps more than you know. 🐾

Thank you for standing behind Kahu K-9 Rescue and the animals who still need us. Every dog deserves someone who keeps showing up for them. 💙🐾

Fancy (Aka Joyce) was rescued from the critical list at Marion County Animal Services. She's doing great with us and we are excited for her future! Thank you to everyone who made this rescue possible.
