Not all heroes wear uniforms. Some run wellness centers in Long Island. I just had one of the most needed massages of my life and my daughter was safe, cared for, and welcomed while I received it.

Let me be clear:
Due to VA Community Care policy, veterans are typically only authorized for one service at a time. You want acupuncture? Gotta pause massage. You want both? You wait. Or you fight. But Centered: The Massage Approach in Commack, NY? They work within the system without losing sight of the human being.

They understand trauma. They understand motherhood. They understand what it means to fight for your healing when everything around you tries to limit it.

If you’re a veteran in New York—especially a mother, especially neurodivergent, especially overwhelmed—go to Centered. They’ll take care of you like your life depends on it. Because sometimes, it does.

We need more places like this. That’s what Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. is fighting for—healing on our terms.

Memorial Day isn’t for barbecues.
It’s not for sales and discounts.
It’s not for “thank you for your service.”
It’s for the ones who never came home.
The ones who gave everything—
and got forgotten the moment a grill lit up.
Honor them. Say their names.
Sit in the silence they left behind.

Six years ago today, I got a DUI in Hawaii.
It was the day everything cracked open.
I lost my kids.
My home.
My animals.
My military awards.
All the keepsakes a mother treasures—gone.

I was drowning in pain I didn’t know how to hold.
So I ran.
I numbed.
I survived the only way I knew how.
Until my third child was born—
and I couldn’t run anymore.

She cracked me wide open.
I stopped drinking.
Not because of court.
Not because of a program.
But because I made the choice to feel.

The grief.
The guilt.
The rage.
The love.

And I’ve been building from the ground up ever since.

No license. No permanent address.
But I’ve detoxed from Big Pharma.
Walked away from every system that tried to sedate me.
And I’m still here.
Still sober.
Still fighting to get back to my children.
Still building Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. so no mother has to walk this alone.

This isn’t about shame.
This is about resurrection.

Because real healing isn’t pretty—
But it’s powerful.

To every woman clawing her way back:
You are not broken.
You are not alone.
And you are not done.

CALL TO ACTION — FOR VETERANS, SINGLE PARENTS, AND SURVIVORS WHO’VE HAD ENOUGH

This isn’t a complaint.
This is a rally cry from the rubble.

I’m the founder of Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc.
A single mother. Female veteran.
Raising a nonverbal autistic daughter in a one-bedroom apartment we fought like hell to secure after six months of homelessness.

Now—with less than 30 days’ notice—they’re telling me to vacate.
“Upgrading the unit.”
Translation: Get out.

But this time, I’m not breaking down. I’m clearing the battlefield.

Everything must go.
No charge. No strings. No shame.
If you’re a fellow veteran, single parent, or survivor out here clawing for a foothold—this is for you.

Available to anyone who needs it:
• Girls’ toys, sensory items, books, artwork, baking supplies
• Women’s clothing (various sizes)
• Children’s clothing (limited)
• Office supplies, small home items, functional decor, garden supplies

I don’t have a car or license—you’ll need to come to me.
But if you’re in crisis, I’ll do everything in my power to work with you.

Because I remember being in that hotel with my daughter, holding on by a thread.
Someone gave to me when I had nothing.
Now I give back.

This nonprofit was born out of betrayal.
Florida keeps passing laws that bury the living and worship the dead.
There’s more honor in a folded flag than in a living, breathing mother veteran raising a child alone.
We’re done pretending.

I’m headed to Long Island next—to reunite with my kids after 7 years.
This wasn’t the plan, but life doesn’t wait. And neither do I.

If this hits you in the gut, if you’ve ever felt discarded, overlooked, or silenced—come get what you need.
Take what will serve your family. Your home. Your next step.

And if you’re ready to follow the fire we’re building here—welcome.
Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. is under construction—website coming.
But the mission’s already in motion.

We don’t crumble.
We clear space.
We rise.

And sometimes rising means giving it all away so we can carry what actually matters.

Reach out. Don’t let this go to waste.
This isn’t charity—it’s solidarity.

Women’s History Month: The Warriors They Forgot

History remembers some, but not all. Some warriors never get a headline. Some never make it into the books. But they were there.

Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. exists because we refuse to let them be forgotten.

Our founder Nina Lynne (Christina), a combat veteran herself, knows what it means to serve in silence. She was the first and only female soldier qualified on the Wrecker at Fort Richardson, Alaska. She jumped out of a C-130 at nine weeks pregnant—because duty called. She deployed to Iraq, carried the weight of war, and ensured fallen soldiers made it home.

But her story is just one of many.

Women have been breaking barriers in the military long before we were “allowed” to.

• Lisa Jaster – One of the first three women to graduate from Ranger School in 2015, proving women can meet the same grueling standards as men.

• Ann Dunwoody – The first female four-star general in U.S. military history.

• Leigh Ann Hester – The first woman since WWII awarded the Silver Star for valor in combat.

• Kristen Griest & Shaye Haver – The first two women to graduate from Ranger School.

• Captain Kathleen Wilder – Denied Ranger School in 1980 but later proved she had passed all qualifications, paving the way for future female Rangers.

And let’s not forget the thousands of women whose names never made the headlines—the nurses, the spies, the warriors history erased.

This Women’s History Month, we honor them.
The ones history forgot. The ones still fighting battles long after their service.

Tag a woman who served. Share this to remind the world that we were here. No warrior should be erased.

Too many women throughout history have been erased, overlooked, or had their contributions stolen. This Women’s History Month, we’re making sure their stories are heard.

🛜Hedy Lamarr – The actress-turned-inventor who laid the foundation for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Brilliance ignored, dismissed as just a pretty face.

🚀 Katherine Johnson – NASA mathematician whose orbital calculations sent astronauts to the moon. The space race wouldn’t have been won without her, yet history tried to leave her out.

🎥Marie Van Brittan Brown – Designed the first home security system in 1966, paving the way for modern surveillance and safety technology.

📞Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson – A physicist whose research led to fiber optics and caller ID, yet few know her name despite her impact on global communication.

🔥 Alice H. Parker – Patented a gas-powered central heating system in 1919, shaping how we heat our homes today.

👩🏾‍⚕️Dr. Patricia Bath – Invented the laser cataract surgery device, restoring sight to millions and changing ophthalmology forever.

🖥️Annie Easley – A NASA scientist and pioneer in computer programming. Her work in rocket science helped pave the way for modern space travel.

🧬Rosalind Franklin – Unlocked the double-helix structure of DNA, yet the credit went to men. Without her, genetic science wouldn’t be where it is today.

Women have always been warriors—on the battlefield, in laboratories, in boardrooms, in homes.

🗣️Our voices are louder together. When we stand side by side, we ensure that future generations of women don’t have to fight to be remembered—they just get to be.

This Women’s History Month, tag a woman who inspires you. Let’s make sure no more names are erased.

They tried to bury us. They failed.

Too many veterans—especially female veterans—are fighting battles we shouldn’t have to. Instead of real support, we get bureaucracy, red tape, and ‘solutions’ that don’t actually solve anything.

Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. is here to change that. We aren’t here for lip service. We aren’t here for ‘weekend retreats’ while our basic needs go unmet. We’re here to demand real solutions for warrior women who refuse to be forgotten.

If you’ve been in this fight, if you see the problem, if you’re tired of veterans being used as a prop while real struggles go ignored—stand with us.

Join the fight. Speak up. Demand change.

Because no soldier should be left behind—not in war, and sure as hell not at home.”

🔥 HOW DO THEY EXPECT VETERANS TO HEAL… WITH NOWHERE TO GO? 🔥

I’ve been homeless.
I’ve been hungry.
I’ve fought for mental healthcare that wasn’t there.
And I know I’m not the only one.

Female veterans, how many of you:
➡️ Survived MST (Military Sexual Trauma) and were told to stay silent?
➡️ Needed mental health care but didn’t have childcare or support system, so you went without?
➡️ Had to fight for resources that should’ve been guaranteed?

This is why I built Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. We are changing the game for female veterans, warrior mothers, and those who have been left behind.

🛡️ We need realtors and land experts who understand the value of creating safe, sustainable housing for veterans.
🛡️ If you’re a veteran who has been through it—homelessness, hunger, trauma—this space is for YOU.
🛡️ If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a movement that ACTUALLY changes things, this is it.

Drop a comment. DM me. Share this. Let’s make sure the next generation of veterans isn’t fighting the same battles we did.

Welcome to Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc.

I’m Christina Forrester, founder and president of Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc., and I know what it means to fight battles no one sees.

I served my country. I wore the uniform. And yet, when I came home, I found myself fighting a war I never trained for—a war against a system that was never built for women like me. A system that fails female veterans and their children every single day.

I know what it’s like to fall through the cracks, to fight for stability, to battle for basic resources that should have been there from the start. And I know I’m not alone. Too many female veterans have been left to navigate homelessness, a broken mental health system, and, worst of all, separation from their own children.

That is why Shield Maidens Warrior Women Inc. exists. To ensure that no female warrior has to fight these battles alone.

We are just getting started, but we are building something real—something lasting. A force that will stand in the gaps where the system has failed us. A community where female veterans and their children don’t just survive but thrive.

Here’s what you can expect as we grow:
⚔️ Resources tailored for female veterans and their families
⚔️ Advocacy for the issues too often ignored—homelessness, mental health, and family separation
⚔️ A sisterhood—because no warrior should stand alone after service

If any of this resonates with you—if you’ve walked this path, if you’ve felt unseen, or if you believe in standing beside those who have sacrificed—then you are in the right place.

This is a call to arms, a call to action. A battle cry for every woman who has ever served and struggled.

Follow, support, and stand with us. The fight isn’t over, but together, we rise.
