Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci together with Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation to Host Water Lantern Festival on June 14

Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci along with the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation proudly announces its upcoming Water Lantern Festival. This heartfelt event will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Memorial Park I (the Mudhole). A short memorial service will take place at the ribbon alcove near Chestnut Street and then the Water Lantern Festival will be at the Mudhole pond. This event will offer the community a chance to honor, remember, and celebrate all those touched by cancer.

The Water Lantern Festival promises to be a moving evening of reflection and unity, as participants release lanterns on the water in tribute to cancer survivors, those currently battling the disease, and loved ones lost. Water Lanterns will be available for purchase for $10 at the event, with all proceeds going to benefit the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation. The event is open to all and aims to foster hope, healing, and community spirit.

“We’re honored to bring the community together for such a meaningful cause, this event is about celebrating resilience and offering support, love, and light to all those impacted by cancer,” stated Commissioner Tucci.
