🏈 ROAD TO NATIONALS / PLAYOFF UPDATE 🏈

Steelers Family, what a weekend of football! 💛🖤

Our 8U Red, led by Coach Niah, fought a tough battle in the semifinals against the undefeated #1 JR Celtics. Although we came up short, these kids showed so much heart, resilience, and determination from beginning to end.

We are extremely proud of this group and everything they accomplished this season. The future is definitely bright for these young athletes, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them! 💪🏾

Our 10U Red, led by Coach Billy, is another special group of kids. Watching these boys play football is truly a sight to see. Every time they step on the field, you see flashes of greatness and just how much potential this group has.

They fought their butts off in their semifinal matchup against Ottawa, but unfortunately came up short. That doesn’t take anything away from the season these kids had or how proud we are of them. Keep your heads up, fellas. Your journey is just getting started! 🏈

And then there’s our 11U Black, led by Coach Antho! 👀🔥

Our 11U Black took care of business against Rockford in the semifinals with a 20-0 SHUTOUT, officially punching their ticket to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆

This group continues to show why they are the #1 11U team in the state. They are now 8-0 on the season, and week after week these kids continue to show up, compete, and get the job done.

But the job isn’t finished yet.

11U Black is headed to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆🔥

Congratulations to all of our players, coaches, Team Moms, parents, and families. Whether your season ended this weekend or you’re still fighting for that trip to Nationals, we are proud of the way our kids represented the Elgin Steelers.

Wins and losses are part of football. What matters is what these kids learn, the relationships they build, and the way they continue to fight when things get tough.

We are proud of ALL of you! 💛🖤

LET’S GO STEELERS!

🏈 11U BLACK — FINISH THE JOB! 🏆

The Elgin Steelers Youth Football and Cheer Board of Directors are a dedicated group of fourteen volunteers who empower young athletes through discipline, teamwork, and leadership. We highlight their tireless efforts in fundraising, equipment safety, free summer camps, and mentoring, all to create a lasting cycle of community engagement and civic pride in Elgin.

10/20/2026

Our Board of Directors is honored to have been awarded the Volunteer Extraordinaire award at the Elgin Image Awards hosted by the Enhancing Elgin Committee.

The Volunteer Extraordinaire award is awarded to “exceptional individuals whose volunteer efforts have had a profound impact on Elgin’s image.”

We are grateful to have formed an amazing board who share a common goal and purpose to bring the Elgin Steelers to life. Our board has put in countless, selfless hours, days, and weekends into developing the Elgin Steelers and the community down at Drake Field for the next generation. Seeing our vision for the Elgin Steelers come to life has been nothing short of amazing, inspiring, and humbling. We cannot thank all of our athletes & their families enough, as without them, none of this would be possible.

Thank you to the Elgin Area Chamber & the Elgin Development Group for this recognition.

Huge shoutout to our sisters, the Lady Legends, and especially our 10U girls for making history! 🏆🏈💛🖤

In their very first season, our 10U Lady Legends became the first girls team from Drake Field to win a Pop Warner state championship, during Pop Warner’s inaugural girls flag football season!

That is a HUGE accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud of these young ladies, their coaches, and everyone who helped make this first season possible.

This is only the beginning for the Lady Legends. We’re excited about what we’re building and even more excited about what’s still to come.

Congratulations, ladies! Keep working, keep believing, and keep making history!

LADY LEGENDS — STATE CHAMPIONS! 🏆💛🖤

These boys showed up week after week, put in the work, left it all on the field, and finished the regular season with a PERFECT RECORD! 💪🏈

An undefeated season doesn’t happen by accident. It takes hard work, dedication, discipline, teamwork, and a whole lot of HEART! ❤️

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible coaches for the countless hours they’ve poured into these athletes, and to our Steelers families for showing up, cheering loud, and supporting these boys every step of the way! 🖤💛

But we’re not done yet… 👀🔥

The regular season may be over, but the mission isn’t finished! It’s time to carry that same energy, determination, and STEELERS PRIDE into the PLAYOFFS! 🏆
