Ira "Ike" Schab Jr. was a Pearl Harbor survivor who served as a Navy musician aboard the USS Dobbin (AD-3). On that fateful morning of December 7, 1941, a young Ira Schab was just 21 years old. The world he knew, filled with the music he played for his country, was shattered in an instant.🕊️🇺🇸⚓

He was one of the last living voices of a generation that experienced unimaginable terror and loss. While other men, like Lou Conter of the USS Arizona, may have been the final survivors from specific ships, Ira's presence at the annual remembrance ceremonies was a powerful and solemn act. For years, he traveled from his home to Hawaii, not for himself, but to honor the men who couldn't—the thousands who never left that harbor. His presence was a living, breathing connection to a day that defined a nation.

Ira "Ike" Schab Jr. is currently 105 years old and continues to be an incredible, living link to that pivotal moment in American history. His life and dedication ensure that the events of December 7, 1941, remain in our hearts and minds.

Today we say goodbye to Max Russell. Max was a fantastic teammate, friend to many and proudly served in the United States Army. He was involved in community outreach projects and a valuable member of the graduating Class of 2019 Quakertown Football Team. In times like these we try and remember all of the amazing memories we have of Max, most of them made us laugh as we continue to reflect on them. Max will live on in all of us as we never forget him and keep him alive in the way we live our own lives.
