We are saddened to hear of the loss of one of our former EMTs, Rose. She helped build the organization from a different perspective, playing an important role in developing EMS billing software that allowed us to keep our billing services in-house. Her contributions helped strengthen our organization and supported the care we provide to the community every day.

We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Rose’s family, friends, and all who knew her during this difficult time.

Sorry for the delay in posting, but we were proud to support Norwin School District 8th grade CPR education program. Throughout the school year, all students participated in CPR training during Health Class. Our crews recently had the opportunity to review those skills with the students, and a select group stayed afterward to become CPR certified.

One of the exciting parts of this program is that we will be able to track these students’ CPR certifications throughout their years at Norwin and provide renewal classes every two years. This gives students interested in healthcare careers the opportunity to already have a current CPR certification as they begin their journey.

CPR saves lives, and we are proud to help educate the next generation.

We would like to thank Deanna and Brian for dropping off food for the crews today.

Many may remember Brian’s story — he suffered a cardiac arrest at home last year. Thanks to the quick actions of his family starting CPR immediately, along with the outstanding care provided by responding crews, Brian was able to walk out of the hospital and continue living a full second life.

Stories like Brian’s are a powerful reminder that CPR truly saves lives.

While we celebrate all the dedicated men and women of EMS during EMS Week, we also pause to mourn the loss of one of our past members.

Jack Kobak, who served as President of the organization for many years, recently passed away. Jack’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to this organization helped shape who we are today.

We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to the Kobak family during this difficult time.

As EMS Week continues, we would like to thank everyone who has shown their support for our crews and organization. Thank you to those who have dropped off cards of encouragement and appreciation, brought snacks for our crews, and to Calvary Church for taking the time to clean up the flower bed and even replace the boards on the picnic table.

We are truly blessed to have such amazing community support behind us. Your kindness and encouragement mean more than you know to our staff and volunteers as they continue to serve the community each day. Thank you for supporting EMS Week and the people behind the badge.

We thank Governor Josh Shapiro for recognizing the importance of EMS and supporting our mission.

This year’s theme highlights the power of teamwork. It’s not just one provider who changes the outcome—it takes a coordinated effort of trained professionals working together to make a meaningful difference in a patient’s health.

🚑 Emergency Medical Services Week 2026 🚑

Governor Josh Shapiro has officially proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, recognizing the vital role EMS professionals play in protecting the health and safety of our communities.

EMS providers, career and volunteer, are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver lifesaving, out-of-hospital care. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to ongoing education and service dramatically improve survival and recovery for patients experiencing sudden illness or injury.
Throughout this week, we encourage Pennsylvanians to join us in honoring the hard work and accomplishments of EMS professionals and to participate in activities that recognize this essential public service.

Today, our crews had the opportunity to participate in a mock crash as part of the SADD program at Norwin High School.

We would like to thank the students for their involvement and engagement, as well as our partner agencies: North Huntingdon Police Department, Circleville VFD, CORE, Snyder Funeral Home, Lenhart's Tire & Auto Service, LifeFlight, and the guest speakers who shared powerful, personal stories about the impact of poor choices—whether through the loss of loved ones or the life-saving gift of organ donation.

Programs like this are an important reminder of the real-life consequences of our decisions and the importance of making safe, responsible choices.

🚑 We’d like to thank Mutual Aid EMS for the opportunity to participate in the disaster drill at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.

Our team staffed one ALS unit, and our Director assisted with evaluating the exercise.

Training side by side with our local partners is essential to staying prepared and providing the best care possible when it matters most.
