Our Staff has been living the Scout Oath, especially practicing keeping ourselves "physically strong". Practicing outdoor activities is a great opportunity for the Rodney Staff to have fun, be outdoors, bond as a team, and learn games to play with Scouts.

Scouting America provides youth with a unique experience to learn functional skills, spend time outdoors, build character, and make new friends. The Rodney Staff is eager to give these opportunities to Scouts through our Merit Badge programs and other learning adventures!

Rodney Staff and volunteers have been working hard to prepare camp for Scouts and leaders this week!

During Staff Week, the Rodney Staff sets-up campsites, cleans cabins, organizes program areas, and learns to teach the 60+ Merit Badges we offer at our Scout Camp on the Chesapeake Bay.

The Rodney Staff is excited to provide a fantastic summer for over 3,400 people this summer. Rodney Scout Reservation is the only Scout Camp on the Chesapeake Bay. With over 900 acres of adventure, we encourage safety, learning, and memorable experiences for all.

Only 1 Week Remains!

The 2026 Rodney Scout Reservation Staff has arrived at camp, and are already busy putting the finishing touches on the best summer yet. With tents set-up, cabins cleaned, boats in the water, supplies delivered, and more every day; the Rodney Staff have been hard at work.

Everyday, the best time of the year gets closer and closer. We can't wait to welcome you to the shores of the Chesapeake Bay once again.

With more than 900 acres of adventure, Rodney Scout Reservation is the place for your summer adventures!

Only 2 weeks until Summer Camp!

Earlier today our Directors arrived for the start of the summer! Rodney’s Director Corps showed for the start of our Director Days.

During Director Days our staff will finalize lesson plans, place final supply orders, and get camp ready for the rest of the staff to arrive.

We are only 3 weeks away from the start of summer camp!

This week, 7 of Rodney’s Director Corps are attending the National Camping School to receive training for the summer.

Summer is getting closer every day, and we cannot wait to see you in the shores of the Chesapeake Bay once again!

Only 4 weeks remain, until the start of Summer Camp!

Later this week, our pre-camp team will arrive to work with the Rangers and get camp ready for you!

Then, at the end of this week some of our Directors and Senior Staff will be heading to the National Camping School to receive training for their positions this summer.

It's warm outside, the Bay is beautiful, and summer camp is right around the corner! Program supplies are being delivered every day, and camp is looking better and better.

From our Brownsea first year camper program, all the way to the Advanced Camper Experience, and trainings and program for adult leaders; there's something for everyone at Rodney this summer!

In just 6 short weeks, Scouts and leaders will return to Rodney for the summer! Across 6 weeks of summer camp, thousands of Scouts will come to our corner of the Chesapeake for their summer adventures.
Whether you're exploring with ACE, sailing on the Bay, or anything else; Rodney Scout Reservation is the place to be this summer!

On Saturday, May 9th, Sunrise and Sunset programs, as well as our adult leader programs opened up for registration. If you haven't registered yet, there is still time! Learn more on our registration page

Only 7 weeks until the start of Summer Camp!

The best part of the years begins in just 7 short weeks! Rodney Scout Reservation will be welcoming the first group of Scouts and leaders for Summer 2026 on June 21st.

Later this month, the first of the Rodney Staff will arrive and work on getting camp all set up. Program supplies are already being ordered, t-shirts are being printed, and we're ready for you to arrive!

In just 8 short weeks, Summer Camp opens once again! The first Scouts and Leaders of the summer season will be arriving on Sunday, June 21st.

Whether you are a first year camper, or a seasoned Rodney alumni, there's always something new to do at camp. With the return of the Advanced Camper Experience, and new Merit Badges this summer, Rodney is a summer camp you'll never forget!

Rodney Scout Reservation is the only Scout camp on the Chesapeake Bay! For over a century, Rodney has been a beacon of Scouting in the mid-Atlantic region.
With more than 60 Merit Badges on offer this summer, there's something for everyone at camp!
