Huge shout out to the Town of Chelmsford, Chelmsford DPW and Stonybrook Landscaping for the much needed work out at the sidewalk and along the outside parking lot (area that faces the street). Looking so much better! For those who are wondering, none of this work was financed from donations- all by the Town of Chelmsford. We are grateful to have this space and every bit of support they have given us.
Extra thank you to the volunteers who gave their Saturday morning and afternoon (08/02) to the maintenance inside the park, including w**d whacking, mowing, hand w**ding and watering of the trees. Reminder that ongoing maintenance continues as needed, and a “Mowing Today” sign will be present on each entrance to ensure y’all know. Another round of maintenance is coming next weekend to include further spot needs. A reminder that no pesticides or herbicides are used anywhere in the park to ensure dog, human, and environmental safety.
Have thoughts, ideas, suggestions, concerns? Please send them along to any board member (Lisa Grasso, Tom Lucey Laramie Swinarski, Colin Schultz, Ed Hill, Phil Burke). Our next meeting is coming up soon, too!

Hi, all! Starting tomorrow and for the next few days you’ll see that part of the parking lot is restricted to allow for the landscapers to come in and work on the area that runs along the sidewalk (known to many as the swale). This is phase one where all of the overgrowth and w**ds are being cleared out. This should take a couple of days so please plan accordingly. All spots along the swale will be unavailable while the work is being completed. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Hi all!
In our efforts to keep up with a great “growing” season where the green stuff just keeps growing… we have devised a quick solution. We will address areas as our small volunteer group can. To allow for everyone else’s schedules, we will simply close areas that are being addressed and move the dogs and owners to spaces where they can still run and not worry about lawn mowers, w**d whackers, noise etc. we are at the mercy of weather, volunteer availability and unpredictable growth. We appreciate your flexibility - we’re doing all we can to keep our park open, accessible and a safe space for all.
Have time to help out? Have suggestions? DM me or any other board member, and we’ll get back to you!
This sign will be present on the entrances on days when we’re doing spot work to keep things pretty, btw! See ya at the park 🐾🐾🐾

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who participated in our Barkiversary celebration. It was a wonderful day filled with joy, and we appreciate each and every one of you. The Chelmsford Dog Park was started as an idea, a dream over a decade ago - this park itself is the result. From thoughts to plans to ground breaking - our park has become one of Chelmsford’s treasures.

Hello, all! Summer is here bringing much more activity here at our park. With the warmer weather we know it is paramount to keep our dogs (and ourselves) hydrated. And many have been using their own bowls to help get water to the pups as they play at the park. Thank you!
BUT…
Please do not leave bowls in the basins of the water features. Kennel cough is a common virus and can easily be spread via shared water bowls. Though many dogs are vaccinated some are not and we have heard that there are reported cases out there right now. First and foremost, if your dog has been diagnosed with (or even shows signs of) kennel cough, do not bring them to the park. Please reach out to your vet.
As a precautionary measure we ask that if you do bring a bowl to our park, please take it home when you leave. If bowls are left behind, of course we will collect them and place in lost and found for you.

Y’all know it’s been wicked hot out. We are so lucky to have a space to safely exercise our doggos Chelmsford Dog Park It’s tempting to keep them with us as we run quick errands etc so here’s a quick reminder of what the summer heat does to our cars when no cooling air conditioning is running. Dog or human, it is unsafe to leave them in the car for even a short trip to the store!

What’s happening at the park today? It’s a work party!!! A fantastic group of volunteers are working hard to help keep our park beautiful! The party is continuing until noon - or when we run out of things to do! Come on down and lend a hand! We are so grateful for such a supportive and caring community - it’s what keeps us going! Special thanks to Brothers for providing us with a mountain of wood chips and always being there when we need them! Thank you all and see ya at the park! 🐾🐾

Hi all! As the season continues to surprise us we want to send a huge thank you out to two volunteers who stepped up to the plate today and helped us out! The small dog side was mowed and w**d whacked! We’ll get the rest of the park this weekend - all through the kind hearts of volunteers! We are all so grateful!!!
