Master Gardeners of Middlesex County NJ The Master Gardener Environmental & Community Stewardship Program emphasizes sound gardening and environmental principles.

Master Gardeners are community volunteers who receive extensive training in horticulture, pesticide reduction, water conservation & quality, the appropriate use of fertilizers, waste education and an Integrated Pest Management approach to solving pest problems. Master Gardeners also provide assistance with numerous extension programs and activities during the year

The Butterfly House is open Saturday and Sunday 10 am -12 pm.

Weather permitting, the house is open every weekend June - August.
Come experience butterflies, such as the Common Buckeye shown here, and learn about host and nectar plants that support them.

This weekend you will see Monarch (pictured), Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Common Buckeye, Cabbage White and American Lady butterflies.
Learn about the butterfly lifecycle from eggs, to caterpillars, chrysalis from our trained Master Gardener tour guides.
