BIA Charter School BIA Charter School is a K-8 Public Charter School focused on STEM Project Based Learning and Persona

BIA Charter School is authorized by the State Charter Schools Commission​​​​​​​ of Georgia. The school opened in August 2016 as Brookhaven Innovation Academy serving grades K-6 and is now authorized as a K-8 school. BIA Charter School operates at a permanent campus less than one mile from downtown Norcross. The mission of BIA is to provide students with an education that maximizes the realization

of their individual talents and prepares them for success in a technology and information driven 21st Century Economy. BIA offers families a student-centered learning environment, implementing a combination of STEM focused, Project-Based Learning (PBL) and blended learning curricula. Inspired in part by the highly successful programs operated by the High Tech High Charter School Network in San Diego, California (www.hightechhigh.org), students attending BIA develop projects, learn to problem solve and document their findings before presenting their learning to peers and community as well as learning to Code from Kindergarten onwards.

You already know the name. Now meet the mission.
This week, Trinidad James — the Atlanta-bred, Trinidad-born artist behind the platinum anthem All Gold Everything — is coming to BIA Summer Camp to talk about something bigger than music.
He's bringing Reflections Sundaze, a movement rooted in self-awareness, storytelling, and showing up as your full self — exactly what our kids need to hear.

Morris Baxter, host of Morning Jazz on 91.9 WCLK Atlanta's Jazz Station, where he shares his Morning Motivations, is coming through to share some of that same motivation with our students.

This week is about culture. This is about community. This is camp.
