Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and relocate tiny breed senior and special needs dogs at risk in shelters, with the goal of finding loving forever homes.

Sorry for taking so long to post - it's been a looooong two days! 🥱 - but everyone, meet Teddy Bean! 🐾

Teddy, formerly Theodore (but we already have a Theo in the house), was transferred to us by our good friends at Paw Squad 559 and is officially the first resident of Frankie's Home for Hospice Friends. Unfortunately, Teddy has low-grade oral melanoma. 💔 Paw Squad debulked the tumor on July 31, but sadly, it's grown back rapidly. We're committed to seeing if there are any options still on the table that would give Teddy a little more quality time, and if not, we're committed to aggressive palliative care until he tells us that he's ready. We have a veterinary consultation set up for next Thursday, so we'll know more then.

In the meantime...ROAD TRIIIIIIP!!! 🚗 We didn't make it very far today, but Teddy has already checked a few things off his bucket list:

✅ Got new wardrobe
✅ Started a road trip!
✅ Tried french fries (big fan)
✅ Saw the Golden Gate Bridge
✅ Had French baguette with his dinner
✅ Fell in looooove 😍 (with Erin)

Tomorrow morning we start our drive up the coast from Bodega Bay. 🌊 Stay tuned for more bucket list moments from each day!

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, Tiny Beans Rescue hasn't been active for a long time. There were a lot of reasons why we had to hit pause, and in that span of time, several things happened that have made us question whether or not we can truly handle the heartbreak of senior rescue. (Whether or not we WANT to is not the question. The seniors definitely have our hearts.)

But we are in a place again now where we want to try, even if it's slowly or one dog at a time, and one of the big goals when we moved to Washington was to have a home and property that would allow us to have a hospice sanctuary. Talk about heartbreak, eh?

So we are excited to share with you all the newest division of Tiny Beans Rescue, Frankie's Home for Hospice Friends! 🎉 We're on our way to California right now to pick up our first sanctuary resident and start ticking things off of his bucket list first thing tomorrow morning. We'll be introducing him soon and sharing his grand adventure up the coast over the next few days, so make sure to watch for updates!
