Today from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Cara with I Do Travel Agency will be outside Rosauers selling tickets for one of our final fundraisers to help make this year’s 4th of July celebration possible!

Not only will your purchase help support our community’s biggest event of the year, but you’ll also have a chance to win an Ocean View Stateroom for up to 4 nights aboard either Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises! 🚢🌴

The Lake Spokane Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Celebration is our biggest event of the year, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

WOW. HoopCrest 2026 is officially in the books 🏀❤️

And honestly, for our very first year, it could not have gone much better.

Every single team showed up ready to play hard, compete, and have fun. Despite a little rain at the end of the day, the courts were full of energy, great attitudes, and some seriously awesome basketball. We had a couple tense moments, but overall the day was an incredible success and our community showed UP.

And the BIGGEST thank you to the people behind the scenes who helped keep this tournament running smoothly:

❤️ “Maximum Security” Max for handling our occasional unruly parent situations
❤️ Ramon for hand walking me thru how brackets work and teaching me how to keep the tournament running

And finally, thank YOU to every player, parent, volunteer, and spectator who came out, supported the event, and even cleaned up after yourselves at the end of the day. And thank you Michelle for going the extra mile to collect the trash that didn’t make it in the cans. That matters more than you know.

This tournament was a fundraiser for the 4th of July Celebration, and because of this amazing community, we raised a significant amount toward making this year’s Independence Day celebration something truly special.

We learned a lot. We’ll improve even more next year.

A huge THANK YOU to STCU for supporting our 2026 Lake Spokane 4th of July Celebration as the sponsor of the STCU Fun Zone! 🇺🇸🎆

Community partnerships like this help us continue bringing family-friendly fun to Nine Mile Falls and the greater Lake Spokane community.

This year, the STCU Fun Zone will feature carnival games, jelly ball, the beloved bubble machine, various games and activities, and after the car show — a COMMUNITY WATER BALLOON FIGHT! 💦🎈

We’re also excited to partner with the Senior All Nighter this year. Fun Zone access will be just $5 for all-day play, with proceeds going directly back to support the Senior All Nighter and other needs for the senior class throughout their year. ❤️

🏀 CALLING ALL HOOP HELPERS! 🏀

HoopCrest is coming together and we need a solid crew to help make this tournament run smoothly! If you’ve got a few hours (or all day 💪), we would LOVE to have you.

Here’s where we need help:

👉 Check-In & T-Shirt Crew (2–3 people)
Help teams get signed in and make sure everyone gets their shirts

👉 Court Monitors (7+ people)
Keep games running on time, track scores, and be the go-to person at each court
Can’t stay all day? No problem—we’ll take shifts!

👉 Bracket Helpers (1–2 people)
Help update brackets and keep things organized as teams advance

👉 Floating Volunteers (a few awesome humans)
Jump in where needed, problem-solve, and keep the day running smooth

🔥 Also—only 9 days left to register for the tournament!
If you’ve been waiting… this is your sign. Don’t wait any longer.

⏰ Schedule note:
Adult divisions will play before noon
Youth divisions will play after noon (so families can still make their SYSA games 🙌)

This is going to be a FUN, fast-paced day and a huge part of making this event successful for our community. Plus… front row seats to some great basketball 👀
