Heaven gained a beautiful soul today.
Hollie Criswell was one of camp’s remaining two OG Knippersinkers. Each year, I call Hollie, Tiffany, and Dave to stand with me for the duck walk on the first night of camp because they were campers when the duck walk was invented. She was one of Becky's counselors when Becky was a camper.
All of Hollie’s kids were campers, and one year she told Becky, “Man, I could never work at camp. It is WAY too hot.” We were so impressed with Hollie’s kids, and with Hollie herself that in 2011 we practically begged her to come back, and she did.
For the last 14 years, we have sweat, and cried, and laughed with Hollie as she shined Jesus’ light and built up the next generation of Christian women. I’ll share cabin pictures to show some of the lives she touched.
Camp will not be the same without Hollie. She did check-in, so she was one of the first faces you saw when you got to camp. Four square, meals, staff meetings, devos, and Becky and I will all be missing something from now on. But heaven has gained a beautiful soul, and Hollie has entered into her eternal reward. We are sad for our loss, but rejoice at her gain.
Thank you, Hollie, for everything you gave to FC MO Camp. We will miss you, and we love you.
Quack quack, waddle waddle, quack quack, waddle waddle, WOOOO!
