The Norfolk Reentry Council will be hosting the Norfolk Reentry Summit on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at 1317 E. Brambleton Ave in Norfolk.

This training summit is a special opportunity to build essential skills to provide more effective reentry. Attendees will also hear from formerly incarcerated individuals with lived experience, highlighting what actions from corrections members are most beneficial to the transition process.

Vendors and community partners will be in attendance, providing employment opportunities, treatment services, and more.

Our regular Free Haircut Wednesdays will resume on September 21 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, making it even easier for students and families to stop by after school.

Because sometimes, a fresh haircut is more than a haircut. It's confidence before the classroom, before the interview, before the next opportunity.

FREE EVENT! Community resources, employment opportunities and more!

Staff from the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia will be available at the upcoming Norfolk Re-entry Summit, hosted by the Norfolk Re-entry Council, in collaboration with the Gethsemane Community Fellowship. Staff will be available to take application for services and answer questions about our program.

The ReEntry Summit will have numerous vendors whom you can speak to one-on-one to help learn about local resources, connect to specialized mental health & substance abuse treatment services, second chance employment opportunities, and more. Registration is not required, but preferred.
