Pictured are a portion of the lucky, excited recipients, whose names were drawn at random to receive a kit to call their very own!

ARTSNCT delivered art kits to Newcomerstown West School, where 45 randomly selected students will receive the deluxe kits. This is part of ARTSNCT's Arts for All program. 130 kits were purchased with the funds ARTSNCT received from advertisers in its new booklet, Newcomerstown's Connection to the Arts.

Meet Our Board: Pat Cadle, Mayor of Newcomerstown 🤝

We are proud to introduce Pat Cadle, a dedicated member of the Tuscarawas County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Board of Directors who serves as a vital bridge between our county-level initiatives and our local villages.

Pat’s mission on the board is to ensure that our smaller municipalities have a strong voice in the room. He is passionate about collaborating with the TCEDC and EDFA to recruit new businesses and build a stronger local economy for every corner of the county.

Pat believes our greatest opportunity lies in how we present ourselves to the world:

🕴‍ Marketing the County: He is focused on creating the best possible image of Tuscarawas County for prospective businesses. This includes showcasing our land, municipalities, recreational sites, and available industrial spaces.

🏛️ An Ambassador for the Community

A natural public speaker and networker, Pat thrives in his role as a "front-line" ambassador for the county. Looking back on his impact, he notes a key collaboration:

"At the end of my term, the one achievement I would be proudest to say I contributed to is creating and organizing the Mayors' Association with Joel Day, Mayor of New Philadelphia."

In meetings, Pat describes himself as a facilitator and a "scribe," valuing the intelligence and talent of the group while always looking for ways to learn from those in different occupational fields.

🏎️ A Surprise Skill: You might not guess it in the boardroom, but during the 1970s, Pat spent his summers driving in demolition derbies!

🏊 First Job: He got his start as a "pool boy" and maintenance worker at a tire pattern shop.

🍳 Saturday Mornings: He loves making a big breakfast before heading to Dover to visit Genevieve's or taking a relaxing ride around town.

🐟 Hidden Gem: Pat’s favorite spot is Simonds-Heller Park, where he enjoys watching the river and local wildlife.
