Before we step into our summer break, join us for one final Sisters Support Circle 🌿🤍

In a world that constantly asks us to keep moving, our circles offer an opportunity to slow down, breathe, reflect, and reconnect—with ourselves, with one another, and with what matters most.

This will be our last circle before our summer hiatus, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

🔥 The fire touched you.

Maybe it came through betrayal.

Maybe through grief.

Maybe through disappointment.

Maybe through a relationship that changed you.

Maybe through a dream that never unfolded the way you hoped.

The fire touched you.

And while you did not choose what happened to you, you still have a choice in what happens next.

Will the pain harden you?

Or will it deepen you?

Will it make you bitter?

Or will it refine you?

As Muslim women, we are often taught to either suppress our emotions or become consumed by them.

But there is another path.

A path that honors our pain without allowing it to define us.

A path that makes room for grief, anger, disappointment, and heartbreak while still returning our affairs to Allah.

This July, join me for a deeply transformative experience as we explore what it means to heal without losing our dignity, our softness, our accountability, or our faith.

✨ WHEN THE FIRE TOUCHES US ✨

Hurt, Healing, and the Honor of How We Respond

Because not every fire is meant to destroy you.

Some fires reveal what was hidden.

Some fires strengthen what was weak.

Some fires burn away everything except what Allah wants to remain.

But it does not get to decide who you become.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajee’oon.

Our beloved Brother Musa has returned to Allah.

For decades, his bookstore As-Suq, located in downtown Brooklyn, was a staple in our community. As a Black American Muslim pioneer, Brother Musa helped build and nurture a space where so many of us came seeking books, knowledge, guidance, and connection. For many, it was more than a bookstore—it was a place that helped cultivate faith, learning, and community for generations.

This loss feels especially close to our family. My mother had the honor of delivering many of Brother Musa’s children as their midwife. And subhanAllah, many of the books I inherited from my mother’s personal collection were purchased from As-Suq.

It is a reminder of how deeply intertwined our community has been for decades.

May Allah reward Brother Musa abundantly for the family he raised, the knowledge he helped spread, and the countless lives touched through As-Suq. May all of it be a sadaqah jariyah for him.

May Allah forgive him, expand his grave, fill it with light, elevate his rank, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

May Allah grant patience and ease to his family and all who loved him.

Janazah details will be announced by his family soon, inshaAllah.

Ramadan Mubarak, beloved sisters 🤍🌙

As we step into this blessed month, I pray that Allah meets each of you exactly where you are — in your hopes, your exhaustion, your longing, and your quiet du’as. May this Ramadan soften what feels heavy, strengthen what feels fragile, and draw you closer to Him in ways that transform you.

May Allah grant us a Ramadan maqbool (a truly accepted Ramadan), forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to leave this month changed for the better.

So grateful to be walking this journey with you through MWI. 🤍

With love,
The MWI Team

Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an — and no sister should feel disconnected from Allah’s Book.

For the 4th year in a row, we’re gathering for our Sisters-Only Virtual Daily Qur’an Reading, returning together to the Qur’an throughout Ramadan using The Clear Quran.

🗓 We begin Tuesday, February 17
⏰ 7:00 AM Eastern | 6:00 AM Central
📖 We’ll continue daily until we complete the Qur’an, in shā’ Allah.

This space is for:
✨ Sisters who have felt distant and want to return
✨ Sisters seeking consistency with Allah’s Book
✨ Sisters navigating life, responsibilities, and circumstances
✨ Sisters who simply want to be present with the Qur’an this Ramadan

No perfection. No performance.
Just sisters showing up — together — with sincere intention.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

✨ We’re back — and this will be our most powerful season yet. ✨

The Sisters’ Support Circle returns Sunday, November 2nd, insha’Allah — a sacred space for Muslim women to heal, rise, and remember who they are in the light of Allah’s mercy. 🌙

From grief and anxiety to marriage, motherhood, and self-worth, this is where hearts find rest in Allah's remembrance, stories find voice, and healing becomes collective. 💛
