Oceans of Hope Foundation Oceans of Hope offers adaptive ocean & river access for individuals with physical disabilities.

Oceans of Hope offers adaptive ocean access for individuals with limited mobility. This includes specialized wheelchairs or assistance to enter the sand and customized surf/body boards to empower paraplegics and quadriplegics to safely wade in the ocean and ride the waves. It is an experience that truly demonstrates “anything” is possible and will be a day forever remembered. Family and friends are encouraged to come and enjoy the day and be a part of the memory-making!

Join the Oceans of Hope Foundation for an Adaptive Surf Event designed specifically for individuals with limited or no mobility.

There’s nothing quite like seeing the smiles, courage, and unforgettable memories created on the beach. We can’t wait to continue bringing hope, freedom, and joy to everyone involved.

This past Saturday, we had the honor of hosting more than 70 veterans and family members from the Wounded Warrior Project for an unforgettable day on the water.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of our partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to give back to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.

These veterans redefine courage, resilience, and strength in ways that inspire all of us. Watching them smile, laugh, and experience the freedom of the ocean is a reminder of why we do what we do.

We’re already looking forward to planning next year’s event and making it even more special.

To our incredible volunteers, THANK YOU. Your passion, dedication, and countless hours of service make events like this possible.

We cannot wait for this Saturday’s “Freedom to Surf” Veterans Event!

We are honored to celebrate our 10th Anniversary Veterans Surf Event in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project. This Saturday, more than 50 veterans will take to the waves alongside an incredible team of volunteers, creating a day filled with courage, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to Rosie’s Adventures and Wheelchairs 4 Kids for joining us and helping make this event so special.

To our volunteers, THANK YOU once again. Without your time, energy, and heart, none of this would be possible. You continue to be the driving force behind these life changing moments.

This Saturday we are beyond excited to partner with Wheelchairs 4 Kids and Rosie’s Adventures to bring some surfing magic to these two amazing groups!

For our surfers, designated parking spots will be available at Marion Clancy Park, or you may drive onto the beach with free parking available for vehicles displaying a placard. Someone will be either in the park or on the beach to assist you upon arrival.

We can’t wait to see these incredible surfers hit the water and experience the freedom and excitement that surfing brings.

It’s going to be an amazing day filled with hope, laughter, and community.

Our Saturday surf event is ON!

Although the weather forecast is still a little iffy, we are moving forward with the event and looking forward to an amazing day.

Please note that parking may be limited early in the morning because the drive-on beach road will remain closed until approximately 9:30 AM. We are asking volunteers to please park in the lot shown on our flyer whenever possible so we can keep Marianne Clancy Park open and accessible for our guest athletes.

Due to the possibility of thunderstorms Saturday morning, we are closely monitoring the weather conditions to determine if the event will take place.

Safety is always the number one priority at Oceans of Hope Foundation.

Right now, there is a 50% chance the weather will hold out. Please stay tuned, as we expect to make a final decision this evening on whether the event will proceed or be postponed to a later date.
