A huge ThankYou to Marine Discovery Center and the Eagle Scouts for your upkeep on the ramp. We can’t wait to begin our season.

FYI: our West shoreline kayak launch will be closed TOMORROW -- Saturday, August 8 --from approximately 8am to 3pm. As part of an Eagle Scout project, various maintenance efforts and improvements will be implemented to ensure the launch is at its best for public usage as well as for our partners at Oceans of Hope Foundation and their upcoming kayak season.

Our other public launch, located in the restored marsh just a short walk from the West parking lot, will still be available during this time.

🚨🚨 It’s always a difficult decision to cancel an event because we know how much joy these days bring, not only to our surfers, but to our volunteers as well.

Unfortunately, due to the rough surf conditions and dangerous rip currents, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s Adaptive Surf Event. Safety will always come first.

We truly hope to reschedule. If we are able to find another date, everyone who was registered for tomorrow’s event will be given the first opportunity to sign up. At this time, however, we’re not sure if we will be able to find a date that works.

We’re incredibly disappointed, but we know this is the right decision. Thank you for understanding, and we will keep everyone posted.

This Saturday’s surf event is being closely monitored due to the current rough surf conditions. At this time, we are unsure if the event will be able to go on as scheduled.

We will make a final decision around 12:00 PM tomorrow.

Safety is always our first priority.

Happy 12th Anniversary to Oceans of Hope Foundation!

August 4 will always be a special day for us. It’s a day to reflect on the hard work, dedication, and the trust so many people have placed in our mission. Together, we’ve been able to create moments of joy that have impacted not only our incredible guest athletes, but also our amazing volunteers, sponsors, and the countless families who have become part of our Oceans of Hope family.

Over the past 12 years, thousands of people have attended our events, and thousands of lives have been touched through the power of hope, inclusion, and the ocean.

To everyone who has volunteered, sponsored, donated, surfed, cheered from the beach, or supported us in any way, WE thank you. You are the reason this mission continues to grow and change lives.

Here’s to another successful year and to many more years of making waves, creating smiles, and proving that anything is possible.

If you have not surfed with us yet this year, you are now eligible to register for our August 8 Adaptive Surf Event!

If you have already surfed with us this year and would like to surf again, please email [email protected] to be placed on our waitlist. Openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis based on the order emails are received.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to give as many new surfers as possible the opportunity to experience the joy of adaptive surfing. Thank you for your patience and support!
