~Cuda Club Week 3~
Most clubs at NSBHS don't start until mid-September, but we are cruising along, hosting 25+ students each week. Right now, our club is growing by word of mouth, as many students bring friends and many teachers refer new students (thank you!). No matter how a student finds us, we give them a warm welcome and share what we can about our club in the short time we have each Tuesday.
This week, our amazing volunteers Kat and Chantal put together a fun Taco Tuesday meal complete with home-cooked beef, all the nacho fixings, grapes, cookies, and more. Thank you to these lovely ladies for sharing their talents and a delicious meal!
While many members returned from last year, we have many new students. This week, to make the session more interactive, each table was given a problem-solving challenge. We will do this again and increase the difficulty, but it was fun seeing each table work together to figure out how they would handle various situations. After lots of discussion, each table shared their challenge and recommendation. It was fun to discuss each problem and how they would solve it. What adult or specific resource would they use?
We want to support our members and equip them with the resilience to rise above any speed bump. What resource or information do you wish you knew about when you were younger to help navigate the roadblocks you've encountered in your life?
