DON'T FORGET!! Tell the County Council that they need to restore this year's cultural grant funding! These dollars are vital - not only to the health of Volusia's cultural organizations, but to the quality of life of all of Volusia's citizens - all for just $1 per person/per year. If you can't come to a Council meeting, write to the Council and let them know this is something you care about. COUNTY COUNCIL KILLS ARTS FUNDING!

At the 10/7 Volusia County Council meeting, the majority of the Councilmen demonstrated once again that they do not care about the County's arts community or the citizens who support and enjoy it.

The Council suspended the allocation of its long-standing Community Cultural Grant Program, even though that $611,758 was already in the budget they approved in September. This small amount — just 0.04% of the County’s $1.4 billion budget — delivers an outsized impact, generating nearly $2 in local tax revenue for every $1 invested and enriching the lives of thousands of residents and visitors each year.

DON'T LET THEM CUT THE COUNTY'S SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS!!

The Volusia County Cultural Alliance is organizing a pushback against the County Council's action. Visit https://volusiaculture.org/save-volusias-arts-culture/ and sign the petition

The County Council thinks Volusia's citizens don't care about arts and culture. Let's prove them wrong.
