ArtHaus Foundation is calling for vendors!

With Family Days taking a pause this year, ArtHaus couldn’t stand by and watch some of Port Orange’s favorite fall traditions disappear. We’ve jumped in to host the 2026 ArtHaus Fall Family Arts Festival and have partnered with the City of Port Orange to keep the fun going until Family Days returns in 2027.

So far, the weekend is shaping up to include ArtHaus’ 30th Annual Chalk Art Competition, the Port Orange Student Parade, Pet Parade, Duck Race, giant Kid Zone, Family Field Day competitions, artists, vendors, food, family activities, and more!

We are currently looking for artists, arts & crafts vendors, local businesses, community organizations, sponsors, volunteers, and others who would like to participate or help support the festival. Whether you join us as a vendor, showcase your organization, sponsor an activity, create some amazing chalk art, volunteer, or simply help us spread the word, we would love to have you involved.

It’s National Arts in Education Week — tell Congress arts education can't wait.

The Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens is proud to announce a Call to Artists for the creation of a permanent public sculpture honoring veterans of the Gulf War, including those who served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

This significant public art project will result in a landmark installation within the museum’s gardens—an inspiring space where art, nature, and remembrance come together to honor those who fought for freedom.

The selected artist or artist team will design, fabricate, and install a sculpture that reflects the defining characteristics of the Gulf War: precision, unity, bravery, and national pride. A central narrative element of the project is the historic “100 hours” ground campaign—symbolizing the speed, coordination, and effectiveness of the mission.

The vision for the sculpture emphasizes:
A strong figurative or human-centered design to create emotional connection
Integration of patriotic elements, including the American flag
A sense of movement, strength, and forward momentum
Materials and construction suited for long-term durability in a coastal environment
An overall aesthetic that is modern, respectful, and enduring

“This tribute is an opportunity to honor not only the service of our Gulf War veterans, but also a moment in history when our nation stood united with clarity of purpose,” said Stephanie Mason-Teague, Executive Director of OMAM. “Through this sculpture, we aim to create a place of reflection, pride, and education for generations to come.”

Professional artists and sculptors with experience in public art and large-scale installations are encouraged to apply. Artists from across the region and nation are invited to submit qualifications.

KEY DATES:
Proposal Deadline: August 31, 2026
Artist Selection: September 2026
Installation Target: Spring 2027

Calling all arts and culture supporters! After months of back and forth, the opportunity to restore this year’s cultural grant funding is now scheduled for the 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 • 𝟗:𝟎𝟎 𝒂𝒎 County Council meeting.

It is now more important than ever that arts supporters show up in strong numbers.
Please plan to show your support at County Council Chambers, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand, at 9:00 am. Whether you choose to speak or simply be present in the room, your support matters.
