Bargaining at USS and Cliffs still moving slowly with not little progress. I suspect we will see movement this week with a lot of late nights of bargaining, as there will be a push to get done. We will not give in to their ridiculous proposals nor will we be pushed into an agreement.
Stay united. We need your support. Watch for our text messages for updates and talk to your cat team coordinators.
Especially at USS DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO DAVE BURRITT AND HIS TEAM's BU****IT UPDATES, AS THEY ARE DECEPTIVE.

We prefer to bargain in good faith on behalf of our members, but we are prepared to go to battle with USS and Nippon to make Dave Burritt live up to his committments and promises to our members.
We want fair wages AND JOBS FOR ALL OF OUR MEMBERS. Our members made USS/Nippon what it is today and what it will be in the future, they deserve SECURED good paying jobs.
We want no concessions on our healthcare benfits which they promised.
We demand safety protections for our members.
We will not go backwards so in the future USS/Nippon can make higher profits.
Oh Dave Burritt clains wants to work together with the employees. He says he wants a partnership and to take care of his employees so badly he proposed to take the partnership language out of our labor agreement so he does not want to meet with us to discuss the business of the company. More of David Burrit's deception.

Unfortunately brothers and sisters a couple days ago a young member from the Operating Engineers Local 150 was killed in accident at the Cleveland Cliif Burns Harbor Plant while operating a pot hauler, he was married and the father of six children. This just breaks my heart. I along with Pete Trinidad have been in communiations with Dave Fagan the President of Local 150 offering our help to the local and the members family,. The USW sends it thoughts and prayers to the brother's family and friends.

For our USS members I promise you. USS got an ear full over their letter and will continue to hear it from me. Nippon, USS, BP and all other companies needs to respect our members, (their employees) and appreciate the sacrifices that they make daily to make the Company's product for their customers.
Instead of threatening to discipline the employees during a disaster in the community, Nippon and USS needs to say thank you and mean it. BP, Nippon and USS needs to really recognize the hazards that their employees work in every day to keep their operations running and say thank you and mean it. Nippon and USS needs to recognize the hours per day that their employees spend away from their families to make sure the steel mills are operating, that the steel mills are producing a quality product. Multi Billion dollar company BP needs to give their employees a fair labor agreement instead of locking the employees out for higher profits
WE WILL NOT BE THREATEN OR INTIMIDATED BY MARCKS FROM BP BURRITT and HIS BULLIES FROM USS. WE DEMAND RESPECT!!!!!
BURRITT AND HIS TEAM SHOULD ALSO UNDERSTAND WE ARE NOT BUYING THEIR DECEPTIVE UPDATES.
