📚 September is Join Your Library Month!

If you’ve been meaning to stop in and get a library card, this is the perfect time! Throughout September, we’re encouraging everyone in our community to come in, get a FREE library card, and see what the New Brighton Public Library has to offer.

🪪 Need a library card? Just bring proof of residency and we’ll help you get signed up.

📚 Already have one? Bring a friend and encourage them to join, too!

❤️ Want to support the library? Make a donation and add your name to one of our paper Community Library Cards. We’ll display them in the library throughout the month!

Whether you’re here for the books, programs, events, resources, or just to stop in and say hi, we’re always happy to see you.

Come be part of your library community! ❤️📚

YOU CAN UKE IS BACK for a fall class!!!

Ukuleles are the hottest trend in music because ANYONE can play them!
This ***FREE*** class welcomes anyone and everyone who has ever thought of playing the ukulele. People of ages 12+ are welcome to these engaging one hour classes where everyone will be playing along with familiar and popular songs before the hour is up.

The class will be held in partnership with the New Brighton Library, with Ukulele rentals supplied for the class by Brighton Music Center. Taught by a licensed music teacher, Mrs. Sue Metelsky, formally from Beaver Area School District. Come join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon of making music!

Student will be exposed to the following skills/concepts: proper hold and strumming; string names; how to read a chord chard; play accompaniments; soloing and reading tablature. This workshop briefly describes each of these topics and allows participants the opportunity to practice and ask questions.

📚 BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! 🔥

Apparently, August’s new books didn’t want to stay on our shelves for very long…
They flew off the shelves, so we did what any good library does:
We ordered MORE! 📚🙌

Today we’re wrapping up another batch of Juvenile, Young Adult, and Fiction titles to get them ready for the shelves. 🎁📖

Now we want to know:
💬 What should we be looking for next?
Are you craving more romance? Mysteries? Fantasy? Thrillers? Historical fiction? YA? Books for the kids?

Tell us what you want to see on our shelves! 👇
Your next favorite book might be one of the titles we order because of your suggestion. 😉
