Last night we bid farewell to the park, an end of summer "Rotary Roast" cook out celebration marking our last meeting at Big Rock Park in New Brighton. A wonderful menu of summer picnic foods was prepared by P.J.'s Deli & Catering and Bullseye Brewing provided the liquid refreshments. The evening also featured raffles and prize giveaways, along with a brief recap of upcoming New Brighton Rotary Club Activities by club President Tiffany Burick-Girting. Today our club mailed our first check 💷 to the CART foundation.

At our weekly meetings, we at New Brighton had a tradition of passing around a 🪣 and putting in a dollar and saying what we were happy for that day or week. A few months ago we decided to send those dollars to help in the fight against Alzheimer's.

We are excited to see what that money 💲 can do for current generations and those to come.

This week, our District Governor asked our Club President a simple but powerful question:

"What are the three things your Rotary club is most proud of?"
It didn't take long to answer.

💙 Investing in our youth through scholarships, RYLA, and leadership opportunities through Interact partnership that help shape tomorrow's leaders.

🌳 Creating lasting community impact by completing projects that improve New Brighton and leave a legacy for future generations.

🤝 Serving others by supporting local organizations and neighbors in need while joining Rotary's worldwide mission of Service Above Self.

As we reflected on that question, we realized these accomplishments aren't the work of just one year or one group of members. They are the result of decades of dedication from the incredible Rotarians who came before us and the passionate members who continue serving today.

To every past and present member of the Rotary Club of New Brighton—thank you. Your commitment, generosity, and countless volunteer hours have built a club that continues to make a lasting difference in our community.

The Rotary Club of New Brighton is seeking engaging speakers for our Thursday dinner meetings from September through May at the Grand Valley Inn. Meetings begin at 6:15 PM, and we'd love to showcase the amazing people, businesses, organizations, and careers that make our community strong.

This is a great opportunity to:
✅ Highlight your business, profession, organization, or area of expertise
✅ Share your story and experiences with local community leaders
✅ Educate and inspire others on topics that matter
