Community Partners with Youth CPY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit after school and summer program serving youth in K-8th grades Scholarships are available. We would love to help your family grow!

Community Partners with Youth (CPY) is an afterschool and summer program for K-8th grade youth in New Brighton and surrounding areas. During the school year, we work primarily with students from Pike Lake Education Center--Bel Air and Sunnyside students, Bel Air Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Highview Middle School, and Edgewood Middle School. Transportation from school sites to CPY, and from CPY home is provided.

Thanks to a group of volunteers from APi Group, our 3-8th graders got to be engineers for a gingerbread house STEM challenge.

From baking 30 gingerbread houses (using 40 lbs of flour and 3 gallons of molasses!) to making the kits for the teams, and finally assembling the houses we couldn’t have done it without their help.

Once the houses were assembled, which was no small feat, they were tested to see if they could withstand an earthquake and a tornado, with the winners getting the ultimate prize—extra candy!

Thanks to H.B. Fuller Company our freezer is set for the next couple of weeks!

A group of employees came in this morning and made over 500 meals and snacks including: apple muffins, sheperd’s pie, chicken pot pie and biscuits, taco bake, and pizza pasta casserole.

We can’t wait to feed the kids all the delicious food!
