You will NOT receive a ticket number, to view your number we will post pictures of the tip board periodically with your name listed on the sheet. When all tips are sold we will scratch the winning number via Facebook live and announce the winner. Please allow us time to pull the tips and post photos to Facebook. 🚒 NEW BETHLEHEM VOLUNTEER FIRE CO. NEEDS YOU! ❤️

When people hear that the New Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Company #1 needs volunteers, they may immediately think, “I’m not a firefighter. What could I possibly do?”

The answer is: plenty! 🙌

You do not have to run into a burning building to make a difference. Our Fire Company is a completely volunteer organization, and keeping it strong takes people with many different talents, backgrounds, and abilities. The company serves New Bethlehem Borough, Porter Township, portions of Redbank Township, and South Bethlehem Borough, covering approximately 56.5 square miles.

Maybe you’re great at organizing events. Maybe you’re handy with tools. Maybe you have experience with bookkeeping, technology, marketing, photography, grant writing, or social media. Maybe you can cook. Or maybe you simply have a few hours to lend a helping hand.

There may be a place for you.

The New Bethlehem Fire Company has been serving our community since its roots as the Friendship Fire Association in 1879. Today, its volunteers continue to provide fire protection, rescue, fire prevention, and other community services.

There are also different ways to become involved. The Fire Company offers Junior, Active, and Social memberships, so becoming part of the organization does not necessarily mean becoming an active firefighter.

❤️ Many hands. Many skills. One mission: serving our community.

Our volunteer fire company is more than an emergency service. It is a community organization made up of neighbors who willingly give their time, talents, and energy to help other neighbors. Keeping that tradition strong takes more than firefighters. It takes an entire community.

If you have ever thought, “I’d like to help, but I don’t know what I could do,” this is your invitation to reach out and ask.

You might be surprised by how much you have to offer. ❤️🚒
