A few changes to our schedule today due to the heat:
1. Our story time at 3PM featuring the books "The Poppy Lady" and "Why Independence Day" will be happening inside the community center in the air conditioning at 3PM.
2. The Street Dance with Jumpin Joey at 4PM will also be taking place inside in the air conditioning.
3. Freedom Ice will be set up and serving shaved ice from their truck in front of the center on Broad Street. Should be a perfect day to get some shaved ice.
4. Leatherwood Academy will be selling lemonade and iced tea from inside the community center.
5. We will be firing up the popcorn machine and be serving popcorn from the inside the center.
6. Distant Fire Company and their food truck will not be set up out back today due to the heat. Sorry for this inconvenience.
7. We will be watching the fireworks at dusk. Come set up chairs on our property anytime after 3PM. We will have some yard games set up including 9 square in the air and more beginning at 3PM.

This Friday, you need to come to the Redbank Valley Community Center. We will be having indoor and outdoor activities beginning at 3PM. We will have 2 food trucks: Freedom Ice will be setting up in front of our building on Broad Street and the Distant Fireman food truck will be set up out back on Water Street. Also, Leatherwood Academy will be here selling lemonade and sweet tea as well, and we will have drinks and fresh popcorn inside. Also happening at 3PM (inside with air conditioning) will be story time featuring two books: The Poppy Lady and Why Independence Day. Then, from 4-6PM, DJ Jumpin Joey will be spinning some tunes, and there will be outdoor games like co****le and 9 square in the air to play as well. And, you can even stay and watch the fireworks with us at dusk. It's going to be a great day to celebrate 250 years of America!

Distant Firehall and Freedom Ice will have their trucks set up here at the RVCC!
