WHAT'S KEEPING YOU FROM ATTENDING FISHING EDUCATION WEEKEND?

We're just over a week away from our 2026 Fishing Education Weekend, November 5–8 on Saginaw Bay!

We've got room for more and we would love to have you join us!

I've had quite a few anglers ask questions about FEW, and I'm wondering if there are some things we haven't explained very well.

Do you need to bring your own boat?

Are you wondering what happens during the morning meetings or evening seminars?

Not sure if FEW is right for your experience level?

Or maybe you've got a question about the schedule or what your registration includes?

ASK AWAY!

Post your questions in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them!

And remember, FEW isn't a fishing tournament. It's four days of fishing, learning and sharing information with other walleye anglers!

Please join us this Tuesday at the west walker sportsman club at 7:00. Jason Julien from church tackle will be our guest speaker for the night. He will be going over trolling for walleye during the fall brawl. I’m sure he will have some great advice and tips for all of us.

We stopped by Lakeside Fishing Shop and owner Julie had a pile of tackles boxes ready!

Fall fishing is in full cycle as the water temperatures drop and the days become shorter. Perch are schooling up with lots of numbers and sorting through them for a limit of keepers!

Stop by and pick up some minnows on the way out fishing.

Jefferson in St Clair Shores still has construction out in front of the bait shop, but it's still an easy in and out stop!
