Mission
It is our goal to provide a safe and wholesome atmosphere, where kids can learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, and practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness, all while having a good time alone the way. Our program stresses learning lessons beyond the football field such as self-discipline, teamwork, concentration friendship, leadership and spor

tsmanship. Our safe exercises, drills, and rules are there to ensure that all kids are physically and mentally prepared for the game of football and cheerleading. Each child is unique and develops at their own pace; we will exercise their bodies and minds in an effort to develop the skills needed in football, cheerleading, and life. Company Overview

In 2003, Nederland Youth Football Association was formed and registered 75 football players and 25 cheerleaders. Due to the popularity of the program, the league has now doubled in size. The growth of the program came from dedicated volunteers and the NYFA Board. Troy Jones has lead NYFA from 2003-2008 as Board President. He continues to be a big contributing factor in the growth and development of the league. Most of the behind the scenes work has been lead by Troy. Without him, our league would not be as successful as it is today. The 2009 season was dedicated to Troy Jones as he ended his term as a member of the NYFA Board. His dedication, patience, prestige and graciousness set the scene for a wonderful youth football program for many years to come!
