Most of you know that our rescue is closed.
We moved to Tyler, three years ago. I always thought I would reopen but it hasn’t been possible. I had so many resources and support when we were in Nederland. Here … I’ve tried. It would be starting over. My health and other things just don’t allow for that to happen.
This past July 25, my beautiful Mona Lisa died. She lived a good life and I’m still so heartbroken. Before she died,
I had already known that I wouldn’t be able to continue the rescue. I have cried and prayed over it so much. I didn’t think I could cry anymore.
I packed up all of my rescue things to donate and today, I’m taking it to someone who, hopefully, will put it to good use. I didn’t think I could cry anymore about giving it up but … I was wrong.
I always said that we were a faith based rescue. So that said … I would really appreciate it if you’d say a little prayer for me today. I’m not doing so good.
