We are so proud to announce our continued partnership with Friends of Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge and Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge in building the next generation of future conservation leaders in our community. 🌱

Over the last year, our students have had enriching learning opportunities through participating in a Youth Advisory Group and activities on refuge. In addition to this, the Friends help support youth in obtaining their GED/HSE’s. 🎓

This partnership has been extremely valuable for our programs as they’ve enhanced our education, increased pathways for work-skills training, and are continuously involving youth in exploration of conservation work through tailored, hands on, activities.

A huge thank you to the team who helped make this year of learning fun and we look forward to the meaningful years ahead! 💚

Board members help expand community programs, education, conservation projects, and fundraising that directly support the refuge.
We’re looking for people who care about the outdoors and our community and who can bring skills like community connections, nonprofit leadership, finance, fundraising, communications/marketing, education, or event planning.
