We learned something today that has us thinking... and we'd love your input!

In Jones County, to fill board positions in government, councils, and nonprofits, we need 1 in 3 people to step into leadership.

This has sparked multiple conversations.. but we're curious how you interpret that data. Some of our conversations were:
🏡We need to recruit more people to move here
👫It's not surprising we see a lot of the same people serve on some of these boards
🔥No wonder some of our community members experience burn out!

The Murdo Development Corp. would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the Gross Family and All Pro Towing & Repair family during this difficult time.

Bud believed in this community and wanted to see the Murdo area continue to grow. We are so grateful that he didn't just talk about that vision—he followed through on it. In 2023, Bud and Carol generously donated a housing lot to the Murdo Development Corp., allowing us to place one of our Governor's Homes. Because of his generosity, a family now has a place to call home, and our community is stronger for it.

Bud believed in investing in the future and understood that growth starts with people. His belief in MDC will continue to make a difference for years to come, and his legacy will live on.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of the owner of All Pro Towing.

He wasn’t just the owner of a towing company—he was someone who genuinely cared about people. Whether you were stranded on the side of the road, involved in an accident, or simply having one of the worst days of your life, he was always ready to help. He loved serving others and took great pride in being there when people needed him most. To him, towing wasn’t just a job—it was a way to make a difference.

Through his hard work, compassion, and dedication, he built All Pro Towing into more than a business. He built a reputation for showing up, lending a hand, and treating people with kindness and respect.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, employees, and everyone whose life he touched. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and thank our community for your continued support, kindness, and understanding.

His legacy of service, generosity, and compassion will continue to live on every time someone from All Pro Towing answers a call for help.

Rest in peace. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and never forgotten.

We recently have been made aware of an opportunity for our small business owners that I wanted to make sure and share before the application cycle closes on August 7.

It's about time to have some FUN!

A few more things have been added to the weekend that we want to make sure you know about.

🧡💙The Jones Co Sportsman Club, located at 105 Sports Street, will be open after the Alumni luncheon and program until 5:30, for anyone wanting a a cool place to visit.
Saturday, July 18.

💙🧡There will be an Open House at the JC High School & Elementary on Friday July 17 from 10 am to 2 pm.

🧡💙The Murdo Coyote will be hosting a hot dog meal on Friday the 17th from noon to 5 PM along with articles on display.
