Dear Wildlife Action Members & Friends:
It’s summer and once again I’m writing to ask your help with our development program for the Helms Nature Preserve and Resource Education Center. We’ve just completed our annual
Pioneer Day Camp, June 8th— June 12th. Sixty campers attended along with our teenage Junior Counselors and adult volunteers. Just like last year’s Pioneer Day Camp, the kids, ages 6 to 11, enjoyed a variety of fun, educational and recreational activities. These included canoeing, archery, target shooting and gun safety training, fishing, crafts, science demonstrations, and classes

This benefit program for the Helms Nature Preserve is called the “$100 Dinner”. Here’s how it works: We will offer 200 tickets only for a donation of $100.00 per ticket. This ticket will enter you in the drawing and entitle you to “Dinner for Two” at the banquet (dine-in only; no take-outs)and drawing which will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 6:30pm at the Lake Waccamaw Methodist Church. The First Prize winner will receive $1500.00 cash! In addition, 10 Second Prize tickets will be drawn which will win $100.00 each. You do not have to be present to win these great prizes. ONLY 200 TICKETS WILL BE OFFERED, SO DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS
WONDERFUL EVENT!
Tickets can be obtained by calling (910) 770-2453 or 840-1327, emailing [email protected] or mailing a check to the P.O. Box address listed above. (Make your check payable to NC Wildlife Action. Please mail no later than August 20th - don’t forget to include your phone number and return address.) Also, please note that the August 29th dinner event is for ADULTS ONLY–18+, no children, please. All of our regular activities, programs, summer camps, etc. are for the kids, so this our opportunity for us adults to treat ourselves!
